Family of 8 across two rooms. Our luggage was delivered to the wrong room. Later we arrived in our room we noticed a missing bag which was left in the original wrong room it was first delivered. We had a flight to get and the hotel wouldn’t knock on the door to that room as guests had checked into it. 20 mins later, reception found our bag just sitting there in reception as the guests of that room had called reception to let them know they found a bag that wasn’t theirs. Reception told us they don’t know why it is sitting there because that’s not the procedure. It’s supposed to go down to ground level to Concierge. Anyway, it was a big stressful run around. Also, when I arrived earlier that day they had allocated my two rooms on the same level and then the rooms weren’t ready so we got back later that evening and they had changed our rooms and put us on different floors. So to stay on the same level, I had to give up my upgraded room and change rooms again. I asked what time the outdoor veranda closes last orders for Restaurant and what time the bar closes and the reception couldn’t answer any of those questions they sent me to the Restaurant to find out. It would be very helpful if they knew about the facilities that they are working in Also sadly this hotel has lost its view of the river as there are apartments getting built right in front of it. At the time I booked through Accor, it was a very good price and a great location.

From the very beginning at check in, reception staff were very friendly, kind and accommodating. We weren't able to stay the 4th night I'd originally booked online and the staff were understanding of our situation and were able to charge us for only 3 nights stay. The manager of the hotel kindly gave us free parking, on the condition we didn't take our car out during our stay, which was fine as we just walked everywhere. It was a lovely kind gesture and we truly appreciated it. On our last night my son, unfortunately became ill and vomited on his bed. I felt extremely bad about the situation, having made a mess of the bed. This happened after midnight and the staff promptly came to our room with extra sheets. They were so kind and empathetic towards our situation, explaining it does happen and not to feel bad about it. The rooms themselves were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall I can not express enough how happy we were with our stay at the Novotel Darling harbour. It was the kind and polite nature of the staff that really set it apart from other hotels I've stayed at before. I'd most definitely stay again and would recommend the hotel to all my friends and family. Thank you so much.

We have recently stayed at your hotel, and I wanted to give some feedback, as our stay have been absolutely fantastic, and exceeded all our expectations. I was staying with my wife and kids, and throughout our whole stay, we felt like we were the most important people in the hotel, despite not even having any membership status with the hotel. I would like to specially thank your colleague Tamas, who has been nothing but fantastic, allocated a nice room for us, gave the kids colouring book and crayons, invited us for movie nights, and when I said my daughter likes chocolate, had a chocolate bunny delivered to our room, with balloons as we were also celebrating her birthday. On the rest of the days, he checked up on us to see if we are doing fine, and if he can do anything for us, and in the lobby remembered all our names and faces, despite you probably having hundreds of guests every day. This is what I call hospitality!

Location is amazing and restaurant is very nice setting with good service - nice drinks! Recommend the pizzas however the kids menu of chips and nuggets was very average. Small portion and my daughter didn't enjoy it. Best to eat outside of the hotel - there's lots of great choices.

My 3rd or 4th stay - comfortable rooms in a convenient location (one of the main reasons). Close to light rail, lots of parking stations, Pyrmont (walking) bridge and of course Darling Harbour. There is a bit of construction with new shopping centre and hotel / apartments on harbour side which will eventually obstruct the great water views from this side of the hotel. Got the room at a red hot deal but savings quickly absorbed with the usual dining benefit block out over public holidays.
