What has happened!!?? The Norfolk used to be such a great bar and cosy courtyard with individuality, flair and patina .. hadn’t been for about 6 years but wanted to take a friend visiting from out of town there.. won’t be doing that again!! The whole courtyard has been stripped bare and you can’t sit indoors as the music at 5.30 pm on a Sunday was pumping so loud you can’t hear anything other than it ( including the bartenders!). Then we get to the food. I have had Rico’s in the past, but not here and when I had it elsewhere it was good… here, very very very bad and out of the ‘special’ at 5pm?? Food served on plastic plates and just ‘slop’.. for want of a better word. Tacos sitting in 2mm of liquid and just a soggy tragedy. Thank heavens La Salut which is the old public bar and is amazing ( but closed last Sunday) otherwise I’d never visit this corner ever again, just so so SO sad.. the Norfolk used to be the best!!

The food was outstanding as were the margaritas. A special mention however needs to go to the staff...what a fantastic group of people, from the moment we arrived until we left they could not have been friendlier, more obliging or more welcoming - what a crew!

If you like Tacos you need to check out the Norfolk! Fabulous selection of Mexican food. Very reasonable prices. Great service. Super, modern atmosphere and Mexican decor. Big selection of beers & drinks. Loved it. Thank you Rico,

We love the Norfolk hotel and the drinks are great, the backyard space is an awesome place to sit. We had a really good steak and kids schnitzel. The kingfish unfortunately came with a terrible cous cous that had SO much salt it was inedible. I did reach out to the venue to let them know privately to check the recipe / quality control but no response.

Pretty nice, relaxing vibe inside with the comfy chairs and beachy umbrellas. Can't fault the happy hour from 4-6 pm! The only main cause of the disappointment was the burnt tacos we were served as part of their Taco Tuesday offering ($5 a piece). Wasn't that flavorful and a bit dry, sorry :( We also got the eggplant dip as an entree which was decent albeit a small serving. Service was nice and courteous. Happy to come back just for the drinks.
