York Event Space&nbsp;is Bavarian Bier Cafe York Street's subterranean function venue. It's a large, versatile space, with numerous long beer-hall style&nbsp;tables for dinner events, which can be removed for cocktail-style parties.&nbsp;York Event Space&nbsp;mixes a European beer hall style atmosphere with a modern, almost industrial-style Sydney vibe. Combined (and with a big ol' bar with plenty of beer on tap), it makes for a striking, memorable function venue.&nbsp;

Not all Bavarian restaurants make good food. This one makes it properly and very well! Safe to book and walk right in if there’s a table

I thought all Bavarian restaurants make same quality food. But the York st restaurant proved to me that this is not the case.

Meat wasn’t dry and it was cooked to perfection. It’s surprising how much difference a chef can make.

Everything on the plate was delicious. The vibe was unique as always and service was fast and welcoming.

For these reasons, I give this place 3 bears

Excellent German bar! Amazing, amazing, amazing wheat beer! 🍺 Delicious pork knuckle. Live music on certain nights. Just an overall awesome vibe! Great place to bring the mates.

I was looking for an easy meal in the city on a Sunday night. I wandered into The Bavarian and settled on the beef burger with fries and a beer. Service was good and burger actually exceeded my expectations. You order using a QR code at the table which, whilst efficient, detracts a little from the atmosphere of this venue. Still nice atmosphere, good food and plenty of beer choices.

We take the all-you-can-eat riblets for two people. We ordered four 200ml German paddles for drinks and additional loaded fries since the second refill for riblets took more than 20 minutes, given that it wasn't a busy night. In spite of the slow service, I don't recommend the all-you-can-eat Riblets only promotion if you are starving. It's ok if you wish for a German beer to pay a visit.

Good easy dinner in the city. Was very busy when we went on a Thursday night, decently priced and lots of options!
