The room was a good size, however was a disabled room which isn't an issue just a little disappointing this was disclosed in the reservation. The bed was very poor, sagging mattress, way to soft. Pillows were horrible, expect they were mainly made of just air. The light in the mini bar had no way of being turned off so room was lit up all night. The exhaust fan in bathroom didn't work, when having a shower the water just went all over the floor. there was no where to put toiletries as the sink was just a sink and nothing else. This was the main reason for the rating being low. The staff were friendly and helpful, this was the reason the rating wasn't any lower. Overall while I would recommend your hotel for a conference however I would suggest staying elsewhere. I hope you take this feedback as constructive which is the way I have written it, I would only give this if I believed you seriously wanted to improve the service levels.

Initial impressions were pretty awful - we’re generally self sufficient but having no actual staff available for whatever reason at reception, we were forced to self check in. No useful explanation about anything to do with the hotel or the package we’d booked including how to park, either in an email before hand or at check in. It kinda sucked, especially having never been here before - essentially left to fend for ourselves. After finding our way to the room there was zero acknowledgment of Accor platinum status (no welcome gift etc), rooms were pretty small and pretty stuffy. Bed and pillows were way too soft making for a pretty average nights sleep, the people coming and going outside the non soundproof door didn’t help. Also, they seem to have done away with Foxtel with only free to air available - an unfortunate money saving trend at many Accor properties these days. Yes, I know you can stream but some people like the convenience of being able to have the tv on while doing other things in background etc. About the only redeeming feature of the hotel was the lounge, which was alright. On the other hand, once we found our way to the bar where the welcome drinks were met with an over officious bar person who insisted on checking twice that our vouchers were still valid and had been redeemed properly, noting down the date (because we were really going back to try to use the vouchers again!!??!). It wasn’t bad, hotel was clean etc but it was definitely a case of my experience didn’t meet my expectations. It’s a hotel that is definitely past its heyday for five stars but unfortunately they try to obscure its best features with dark paint and curtains rather than highlighting the place for what could be some nice art deco, period etc. If it wasn’t for the lounge, this place is more suited to an Ibis Styles rather than a supposedly five star Sofitel. Again, it wasn’t bad but on the other hand was certainly the worst Sofitel I’ve stayed in. Would be ropable if they were charging a premium rate for the night but it was fine for the price we paid. Still wouldn’t rush back.

Beautiful hotel, restaurants and bars were very good and the food was excellent. The Guest Experience Executive was incredible and really made the stay memorable by going out of there way to satisfy. Sofitel have implemented a full self service check in/out procedure which I felt cheapened the experience. Whilst it appears Sofitel prefer the self service there is a choice to use a customer service member to provide check in/out. Overall the stay was fantastic and won't hesitate to book again.

I had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. The room was a very good size, with a well-appointed bathroom and excellent amenities. The service throughout my stay was outstanding – warm, professional, and attentive. The hotel’s location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, and room service was equally impressive. Everything about my experience was smooth and enjoyable. I’m very happy with my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sydney. Thank you to the team for making it such a memorable visit.

As a Marriott loyalist, I usually stay at one of their properties but due to location of my meetings, I opted for the Sofitel. It didn’t disappoint! The rooms were comfortable and aside from construction noise and city sounds at night, it was a lovely stay. The highlight was certainly the staff (Jina at reception & Joshua at concierge ) who made me feel like a special guest from my initial arrival, every morning as I left for the day, and as I checked out on my last day here. Definitely would recommend!
