Reviews for Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney

Lovely botanical garden: detailed review with dozens of photos. This is a really large botanical gardens that reminds me more of a huge Central Park than simply a Botanical Gardens. Of course, there are beautiful plantings here, but there’s also a lot of green space and open space. People were meditating, picnicking, practicing yoga…there’s a great deal of open green area. We arrived in the spring, and so much was in bloom, but I’m certain that the garden has surprises in every season. Excellent walking paths and clean public restrooms as well. There are little cafés scattered around, but you can also bring a picnic. The pathways are well-marked and will direct you to areas of interest in the gardens. Be sure to explore the gardens that are populated with plants that showcase many of the first attempts at growing fruits and vegetables by European Settlers in Sydney. The garden also abuts the harbor, and so you can enjoy that element as well. Amazing views of the opera house and beyond. We spent several hours here and only left because we were starting to crave dinner.

The Royal Botanic Gardens is well worth a visit if you are in Sydney. We entered from the Macquarie Street entrance so all of the walking would be downhill from there. From this entrance we were immediately greeted by the most gorgeous flower beds in bloom at Spring time. Every direction was an absolute delight to the senses. Flowers were being visited by bees and butterflies, there is such a variety of flowers and colours. I highly recommend this section of the garden, another highlight was the nearby rose garden beds. The most beautiful rose garden i have personally seen. The roses were blooming in the most gorgeous bunches. Next we made our way down to the lotus pond enjoying all of the lush Botanic gardens on route. Once we reached the harbour it is a flat, seaside scenic walk towards the opera house and back to Circular Quay for public transport. We visited in early November and it was an absolute pleasure at this time of year

This place is awesome. Fascinating and enchanting array of plant life. This will be one of my top recommendations for Sydney. Check out the succulent garden and the rain forresty area near it. And the huge tree lined paths.

Serene and beautiful We visited this in the mid of spring and there are a lot of attractions to see. There are cafes and restrooms available close to all the exits. Its a must visit attraction for tourists or if you are a Sydney resident you should visit for a day picnic!

Absolutely amazing!!! Australia's natural masterpiece and oldest botanic garden, overlooking Sydney Harbour. One of the stunning botanical gardens ever I seen. Extensive harbour-side regional parkland near the city centre hosting the Royal Botanic Gardens, a state heritage site full of flowers, plants and trees from all over the world.
