Reviews for William Inglis Hotel

First time staying at the William Inglis hotel and it was a 5 star experience. Complimentary 11am checkout included which is a bonus compared to other hotels standard 10am checkout. Special thanks to the lovely male service attendant who checked us in and offered 12noon checkout at no charge when we enquired if there was a later checkout option available. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Beds and pillows super comfortable. We ordered room service and the steaks were 10/10 and perfectly cooked. One of the best steaks we have had in a while! We will definitely be booking another stay in the future!

My partner and I stayed in the King Suite for a 1-night staycation for Christmas last week. Unfortunately the reception staff were not very hospitable nor accomodating. We were not greeted with '5 star' service, that's for sure. One of the receptionists spoke so softly, I had to ask her to repeat everything she was saying. Almost like she was nervous to talk? No major welcome to the hotel or explaination on where to go within the hotel to our room, where the eatery is, where the day spa is, can I help you with your bags, nothing!...no general, step-by-step professional welcome to what we thought was quite a grand hotel. That was a massive let down for us, because the check-in and welcome process is what stands out for us when we stay at 5-star hotels. The room itself was very grand and spacious! The bathroom was almost too big...waste of space? But nevertheless, very open plan and comfortable. The room service food was very tastey, although additional charge for room service (should not incur a room service fee if you're staying in the biggest suite?) and our tray from the room service the night before had not been collected yet when we exited to the room the next morning to attend breakfast. Not very sanitary for the staff to have not checked our level for used room service trays? The rooftop pool was amazing! Lots of day beds and cabanas to relax and soak up some sun. The pool bar offers beverages and hot food, which was convenient! All in all, it wasn't the worst experience but it definitely wasn't 5-star service or value for money. We would like to stay there again one day and hope that the front of house staff will have picked up their game by then! Because first impressions are what matter! Thanks for reading 😊

The room was very nice, laid out and comfortable. I wandered around early in the evening to see what was there, including the restaurant. I was asked if I wanted to dine that evening; it would be wise to make a reservation. I am glad the restaurant manager suggested this, as the restaurant was bustling, which surprised me somewhat. When I had the meal, I understood why. Breakfast in the morning was very good (could use some extra signage for gluten-free items, etc).

Definitely a 5star hotel but a downscale level due to the location. Stayed for 3 nights. Staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was good but nothing extravagant. Hotel bar served up to as late as 1am. Gym was decent size. Rooftop pool heated with a good view of the surrounding suburbs. Room service was prompt and delicious. Definitely would stay again if I was to book around this area of Sydney.

Very nice hotel with good food and coffee. If you like a cool dark room though, you're out of luck. The a/c panel has a power light that illuminates the entire room with a green swathe of light that's brighter than the sun. You can power it off, but then the room heats up hotter than the sun. Could do with a design rethink
