Reviews for William Inglis Hotel

We had a good week stay at the William Inglis. Being honest I’d say the rooms are a little on the smaller side, being a family of 3, couple + child you’d need at least a mini suite to not feel a little claustrophobic, which is maybe 3 steps up from the cheapest room. They have a fantastic little buffet breakfast and some pretty classy meals for lunch and dinner. Room service was pretty generous and kids meals were adequate. Unfortunately the horses were on holidays during the Christmas break so we were told to come back after mid Feb. there are plenty of stables to look at and if you’re looking for a function room, they have a few options as well. Great place for a wedding even. Oh, and The Most Manicured Gardens I’ve ever seen. Honestly, hats off to the gardener/s. Loved the outside atmosphere, plenty of secure parking, lovely foyer and entrance. The hotel also offers a nice rooftop pool area which is cosy and has a view of the racecourse. All in all we enjoyed our stay , we were even offered one night stay in the larger room so that our cot would fit more comfortably and it made all the difference. Thank you team for a wonderful stay, we look forward to our next visit and will make this our regular when visit g Sydney’s west.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was shocked by the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. There were fake nails left around the room for me to pick up, hair in the bed, and—worst of all—when I reported the nails to staff, they retrieved them but left one on the table where I eat! While I appreciated the offer of compensation (a new room or breakfast), it didn’t come close to making up for such an unacceptable experience—especially given the price I paid for the stay. I expected far better standards. I won’t be staying here again unless I see significant changes in cleanliness and customer care.

For all the money that’s been put into the aesthetic of the venue, the gym has obviously been missed when the budget has been spent elsewhere. The equipment is archaic and scarce. Considering how many people stay here when travelling for work, exercise is a big part of one’s weekly routine and I can’t tell you how disappointed myself and other guests were to see the state of the gym at the hotel. Do yourself a favour and avoid it! Unfortunately this did dampen my stay and the experience had at The William Inglis Hotel :(

We have stayed here many many times however this time the price was quite expensive for a week day. Unfortunately this time our bathroom was not cleaned not even touched accept replacing our towels. The toilet was still dirty, our coffee cups was not cleaned they were still left on the table dirty. Our bathroom hand basin was still dirty. The whole bathroom floor was flooded after having a shower as the shower curtain was not long enough. We ordered pouch eggs for breakfast which was never ordered after half hour of waiting I went to ask again. I was very angry about this as I don’t have an issue with people making mistakes all they had to do was tell us. NOT HAPPY JAN. We have been coming here nearly every month for five years. ☹️

First time staying at the William Inglis hotel and it was a 5 star experience. Complimentary 11am checkout included which is a bonus compared to other hotels standard 10am checkout. Special thanks to the lovely male service attendant who checked us in and offered 12noon checkout at no charge when we enquired if there was a later checkout option available. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Beds and pillows super comfortable. We ordered room service and the steaks were 10/10 and perfectly cooked. One of the best steaks we have had in a while! We will definitely be booking another stay in the future!
