Family of four staying in a Village room for 2 nights. We had a late arrival check in so the staff made sure that we would be able to easily access our room and everything was set up upon arrival. Room was adequate, nothing special but neat and tidy. Walking distance to the local pub and bowling club. It was quite a good weekend stay. Would definitely stay again.

What an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We felt like we had the place to ourselves on the off-peak, weekday upon which our weekend began, and were delightedly surprised to see a large family, accommodated easily by this beautiful, untouched location. Their kids ran free, safe, easily supervised by adults as myself and my partner enjoyed fresh cooked meals at the local cafe and bowling club. A place to be free, but also respectful, and somewhere I look forward to visiting again, very soon.

Location is good and the grounds of the resort are lovely, but unfortunately that’s where the good review ends. For a 4 star accommodation I was very disappointed. The cleanliness was very poor, even after being moved rooms we still had mold in the shower, dirty pillowcases and filthy sink with multiple dead cockroaches on the floor. The bed was not very comfortable, the facilities are very aged and could do with some upgrading.

The pool is pretty clean except for the poop on the sides but it makes sense but the pool filters has multiple dead roaches inside it when I swam down rooms were pretty clean if been here twice but both times there were bugs the first time there were 2 giant millipedes in the bathroom and bed in the middle of the night but they did cause a fright only a disturbance. The beds were clean and comfy and lots of fun games.

We regularly stay at retreat at wiseman’s as it’s so affordable and peaceful. We always have a fantastic experience, staff are always incredibly welcoming and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean, we especially enjoy the oversized pool and enjoy fishing on the banks of the beautiful Hawkesbury river. The location is perfect. We look forward to visiting this hidden gem again soon.
