beds were very uncomfortable we paid 165$ for a river view supreme room and they didn’t give us what we paid for there was a big cockroach on my daughters pillow. we had to spray all the bugs including bathroom front door beds and kitchen the amount of insects were unbelievable the customer service was extremely slow there was one person serving/receptionist.i will not be staying there again they are false advertising also the pool had a lot of branches and bugs in the pool come here if u like insects {cockroaches -big cockroaches -flying cockroaches}

We stayed 2 nights in an upstairs Riverview room. (We have stayed before some time ago & it was a great stay). I did mention the dirt & cobwebs in sliding door runner to receptionist & she did send someone over to clean (poorly), bird droppings & cobwebs with spiders on balcony, green paint peeling off railing around balcony & cream painted balcony slats very dirty. Very large hole on hand rail of exit stairway (looked like dry rot). Bed very uncomfortable, shower recess very dirty, black mildew on grouting around tiles. I think our room had been painted (which was very nice). Dead frongs hanging from all palm trees making the area look very untidy, large pot holes in driveway leading to Riverview units. This is a shame as we were looking forward to our stay at the retreat but unfortunately we have decided not to stay again. Recommend the Wiseman’s Ferry Inn Hotel, up the hill for meals.

Mixed feelings about Wisemans Retreat. Absolutely stunning area and surroundings. My partner and I played tennis, had a picnic and went on walks. Though I booked an early check in which wasn’t early we didn’t get the key til 1pm, which felt like a waste of $40 extra. The tv wasn’t working and took us a good 10 mins to get it going then we called reception who did attend to the issue in a timely manner. There is no bin in the room apart from a bathroom bin. The beds are very rock solid which caused a bad sleep. You hear everything the room next to you is saying or doing. When a shower is happening in the block of rooms a sound happens that goes throughout and woke me up a few times. Wasn’t very peaceful. I had live cockroaches running through my clothes and on the floor. The shower ceiling and windowsill had dead bugs squished. Seems to of been there for a while I do believe an update needs to happen on all the rooms. The website does give off a different impression to reality. It was a nice time though these few things did create some hesitation to returning.

It's a pig sty. 3 weeks still no cleaner even after asking to have toilet cleaned. Rubbish out front for 2 weeks. No facilities. No cleanliness No appliances. U better of camping Wouldn't even have my dogs stay there. Don't waste your money here .go to pub their awesome

Our company hosted a corporate retreat and we stayed for 2 nights. We had such a lovely experience! There was so much space for vendors we hired etc. It's also a 2 minute walk to the bowling club and the pub accross the road! Staff were so lovely and so helpful! Would highly recommend.
