Stayed here for two nights with my partner. It was a decent place to stay, especially if you’re travelling on a budget. There’s nothing fancy about the room, but it has a modern aesthetic vibe which makes it pleasing. If you come here by public transport, it’s a bit of a walk from the station, but it’s very easy to find. It’s located between the beach and the shops, which is convenient. Overall, we had a good stay. Just note that they are quite strict about the check-in time at 2 PM.

Booked to stay one night as my partner and I were attending a play at the Uni. Location was good for this purpose. I checked in online which was handy as all I had to do was scan my QR code in the lobby and get the key. Parking was easy and included in our package. The downstairs area which included a restaurant was light, airy and modern. They served great coffee. We booked a king room which was small but clean and new. Very basic, no wardrobe to hang clothes, only a couple of hangers on a wall frame. There was a jug to make hot drinks but we had to put it on the floor as we couldn’t find a power point accessible to the desk/table for the length of the jug cord. There was only one cup so one of us had to have a cup of tea in a water glass. There were no chairs to sit on, only place to sit was the bed. This was also awkward as the wall lights above the bed were too low and you kept knocking your head on the light. Someone must have done this with a little vigour as one of the wall lights was broken but placed back on the fitting to hide the fact it was broken. Quite dangerous as there was broken glass inside the light which was over the bed. Lucky no glass on the bed. Bed was very comfortable. Aircon was very noisey so we turned it off, it was a hot night so sleep not good. There was a lot of outside noise on a Saturday night until around 2am, so if you are a light sleeper won’t get much sleep (as I didn’t). We ate in the restaurant for dinner which was very tasty. Breakfast was $25 basic buffet which included barista coffee. Online check out also handy.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Totto over the Christmas period. The staff were fantastic - a special thanks to Jenni, Brianna and Charlotte (as well as others who I didn’t catch their names), who were all incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. I used to live in Wollongong, and I was genuinely impressed by the level of service throughout the hotel - it really stood out. The rooms were modern, clean, and very comfortable, making it a great place for a longer stint over the holidays. The restaurant downstairs was excellent - super convenient with great-quality food - and the coffee was Melbourne-spec (if not better), which says a lot. The gym access was also a great bonus - having access to a paid off-site gym was really appreciated and worked extremely well. Overall, a fantastic experience and I’d absolutely recommend Hotel Totto for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Weekend parking was very limited, so I had to keep asking the front desk to open the upper level. The air conditioner in the room was quite loud. On the positive side, the customer service staff were extremely friendly. The front desk coffee and breakfast were good. The hotel is in a great location, very close to shopping centres, food outlets, and train stations. Overall, very convenient place to stay.

Stupidly didn’t read the reviews before booking. An all in one aircon unit inside the room is not suitable for a hotel. It is SO loud even on the quietest lowest setting that you cannot sleep with it on. Thankfully the window opens a tiny bit - but then you’re up all night with the sounds of the street and if you’re lucky like we were, the never ending garbage trucks after a public holiday.
