Reviews for Oaks Oasis Resort

Had a lovely time staying at Oaks with my family, on what was my first trip to Caloundra. In terms of the positives, there were many! The location is superb, with close proximity to shops and essential services. The resort feels like a tropical paradise, with great scenery, pool and water park. Buffet breakfast was also included, which was a great addition. The staff in both reception and the restaurant/bar were friendly and helpful. However, I do have some constructive feedback I'd like to pass on, mainly regarding our room, Villa 26. Whilst the room was decent overall (the beds were very comfortable), there were a few issues I'd like to pass on to the maintenance team. The touch panel for the kitchen lights near the hotplates were faulty, with the plastic cover sticking out. The lock on the bedroom door (with the 2 single beds) was broken, and the front entrance door was hard to open and shut, because it got quite stuck. A fresh coat of paint would be good too, as there were some marks across the walls in the room. Overall, however, this was a great place to stay at, with many great things going for it! With a fresh coat of paint to the rooms and fixing of the aforementioned issues, Oasis is hard to beat.

Awesome place to stay. Our daughter was so happy in the water park. The food was great at the restaurant. They do happy hour at the bar. Other guests were really friendly as were staff. Special shout out to Chloe at the front desk who was extremely helpful when we wanted to make a change to our booking. This gave us good vibes from the moment we arrived.

Mixed review, check-in was a strict 2pm - arrived at 1.50 and told to wait until 2 even though the room was ready. Seriously.. very petty and never seen that enforced before, quite rude as well.. Restaurant food and service was great however. Rooms were fine. Playground was locked still at 8am and our kid couldn't play (not near accommodation so no idea why). All round poor experience.

Great place for a getaway with the kids. The waterpark was a massive hit, unsurprisingly, and they really enjoyed the bouncy pillow too. Rooms are nice and spacious with everything you could think of needing and nice, big, soft beds too. Good location for getting around Caloundra easily and close to shops if necessary

We had a bad experience here. The room looked nothing like the photos and was in a poor state of repair, it looked and felt cheap and nasty. The curtain rail was nearly falling off, smoke alarm was missing, light fittings were rusty, there was damage to the walls, there were random picture hooks with no pictures, no wand to close the kitchen blind to the outside passage so anyone could look in at any time, the fixtures and fittings were very dated, and the outdoor furniture looked like it belonged in hard rubbish. We were later told that the apartment we were in belonged to an external owner who had sub-let it back to Oaks. Our apartment was located on the other side of the site from the newer main building which is clearly where the website photos were taken. We only stayed the first night and got a refund for the other two nights (we had booked 3), we found somewhere else to stay. Beware- the website photos are very misleading. Also, the wifi didn't work at all. We were unable to connect to it at any time during our stay.
