Situated right on the river front underneath the Powerhouse Museum this place provides both indoor and outdoor dining. It's an easy stroll to the nearby parkland and stroller friendly. They have live music which adds to the ambience of the place and meals are always well presented. It can get pretty busy here tho, so be warned. No pics today, maybe next time. I have gone here a few times and always enjoyed myself. Update: OK so we went back for breakfast with friends and were not disappointed. See pics for reference. Food and coffee was delightful!

Thank you for an amazing Mother’s Day Lunch! The food and service was exceptional - such a warm welcome with the GH Mumm on arrival. I completely forgot to a photo of the mains; the food selection was fantastic and delicious. The guitarist added a beautiful ambiance, and David Babore’s art of my adult kids was a lovely touch to the whole experience. Truely memorable.

Met friends at Mary Mae’s for coffee and cake before the comedy show at The Powerhouse. It was busy but It still had a nice welcoming vibe. Staff were friendly and efficient, great coffee and the tropical cheesecake I ordered was delicious

Excellent location along the river, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have the capacity to cater for a large crowd, without feeling over-crowded. The food was tasty, but it wasn't particularly special. Also, when you order a meal with 'salad', I would argue that the customer expects more than a few lettuce leaves drenched in dressing. Why no tomato? Cucumber? Onion? Nothing but leaves. It was also disappointing that they have a drinks menu that includes cocktails and mocktails, but could not serve these on the day we visited as "there is no one that is working that can make cocktails". This is surprising that not one of the 6 staff they had behind the bar can make cocktails, but they can pour beer or make a mixed drink. For a place that looks so lovely, is so well situated, and is a bit pricey, I thought the lack of table service... kinda sucked. You go to the bar to order, they give you a buzzer, and you go to pick up your food, cutlery and condiments. The contrast between the lack of service and the location/prices, I really am not sure who their target demographic is.

Buzzer went off but meal didnt arrive so I asked staff at the bar they said coming soon. Was.ignored and waited for 20mins watching other orders go past placed after mine of the same dish. When I asked them to please give me in of those as I was first in line they laughed it off. See photo of what eventually arrived and I paid $18 for.. 🤯
