Stayed for three nights for a family function, which coincided with our wedding anniversary. The staff went above and beyond - upgrading us to a suite, complete with towel swans, chocolates, a plate of sweets and complimentary drinks. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. If I could have snuck the bed out with me, I would've! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

Had my wedding ceremony and reception at Rydges in August and it was perfect! Exactly how we wanted it to be. Margaret and Stephen were so easy to communicate with and made the day really smooth and I didn't have to worry about a thing. All of my guests were complimenting the food - it was so delicious and nicely presented. The hotel rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, the staff were so attentive and kind to all of our interstate guests. The location was perfect for a wedding with largely interstate guests as it is central to Townsville, easy to get to restaurants, the city and the strand. Could not recommend more! Thank you so much!!

Very up to date decor throughout even though it has been around for a long time. Great service and beautiful food. Still a winner to stay at.

Very good location, large rooms and very clean. Have been coming here for a dozen years and they've always been great. Checked in again October and found a hand written card, welcoming me back to the Hotel from Ruth the General Manager and some complimentary drinks in the fridge. I also had the pleasure of meeting Ruth at breakfast the next morning and thanked her for the hospitality shown and warmth by the gesture. People sometimes forget that it's the small things that can make a big difference.
