We checked into Mantra on Queen on the 12/3/2025. The issue I would like to raise is the hotel parking, on checking in we were instructed to only use parking spots marked “Guest parking” which we did. Parking charge on our credit card was to be $20/day. (If you’re paying it should be safe to assume there is parking.) When we tried to leave the parking area we were placed under an enormous amount of stress getting down to the entrance due to the VERY tight space in the down lane and surrounding areas. I was very fearful of damaging our car, and judging by the scrape marks and deposited paint scrapings many have. it took me about 15 minutes to manoeuvre out, having to back up several times to align my car safely. (1 floor) We went out for the day and came back to park and went up 5 floors I believe, and there was no parking available so we had to exit. This was again so stressful that I used the up lane to exit the parking area We are very experienced travellers and this would be the worst hotel experience we have had. It was an absolute nightmare.

Our room was dated & had shower over bath. Found the TV hard to operate, had to hotspot our own phone. No Foxtel, only regular streaming apps. Restaurant at the bottom was closed more than open. Great location though.

Trying to find the place was a struggle, signage was minimal from the road/car, maps took us around and around the wrong street. No one answered when ringing for help with directions. Upon checking in we found the carpark extremely tight, the room was old and small (but clean). Our sofa bed was not made up with linen or an extra towel for our third guest, but a call to reception rectified that quite quickly. Location is great, walking distance to Fortitude Valley and City, and a convenient Woolworths/Chemist etc across the road. Price was reflective.

Hotel is old and room is worn, we stayed in lvl 22 and the room smells like a kitchen all day and night, cooking non stop, I think all our clothes will smell bad, room was not clean, just ok. Parking is very narrow, need to be very careful otherwise will scratch the sides.

Terrible customer service. No room service, no open restaurant for dinner, didn't receive the welcome drink, dated rooms. Have been calling for a whole day and sending emails asking for a tax invoice and they simply do not reply. Not recommended
