Very nice new Hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. The parking on arrival was confusing, no clear sign and valet not available, people randomly parking everywhere including at the front entrance. Busy on arrival however staff were very polite, courteous, engaging, and friendly. Once checked in and luggage trolley located, everything was extremely smooth from reception, concierge, valet and the Room Service was amazing. Food was exceptionally good and reasonable prices, and delivery time was under 30min

We only stayed overnight as our flight was redirected from Sydney to Brisbane however the staff were great. We were exhausted with a baby, they were efficient and the room service was fabulous. Much appreciate the room upgrade, was definitely needed!!

Booked the room with 2 Queen beds for 4 nights. I liked that the room was really spacious, feels new and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel even set up 2 extra beds for us in the room which was wonderful. The room feels quite new and modern. The location of the hotel was good too with many restaurants and pubs around the area and being in walking distance to museums, art gallery, performing arts theatre and the pontoon to take cruises. However, housekeeping could be improved. We noticed there were stains on our sheets and on some days the trash bags were not taken out by housekeeping. There was no view from our room as we were given a 2nd floor room which faces another building. Could hear some noises at night from the ground floor but it was tolerable. If you are looking for a comfortable place to rest after exploring Brisbane this hotel is good for its comfort and accessibility. Do note that they charge $55AUD for valet parking for every night and valet parking is compulsory here.

I recently stayed at Rydges South Gate for one night due to a flight cancellation from Brisbane. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. • The hotel is located in the heart of the city, offering a beautiful night view from the balcony. • The rooms are very clean and comfortable; I would rate comfort at 5 stars. • The food served during my stay was an absolute disaster. I cannot give it any stars. • The service deserves only 1 star. Details of My Stay May 26: Upon arrival, we were extremely tired after standing for almost two hours at the airport while the airline sorted our accommodation. Several other passengers were also sent to this hotel. All guests sent by the airline were kept waiting to be served by only one receptionist, resulting in another half-hour wait to confirm our booking, even though there was another receptionist available. It was disappointing to see this level of service from a highly-rated hotel. When we checked into our rooms, we were a group of seven people with three kids and had to manage with two rooms on different levels, which was not ideal but acceptable under the circumstances. However, the room service was a significant issue. There was no one available to attend to the room service area in the kitchen. After multiple failed attempts to reach room service, I had to call the reception to order food. Despite clearly stating that we only wanted chicken and no beef or ham, a beef burger was delivered. I realized this only after taking a couple of bites, which was deeply distressing as it goes against my religious beliefs. The receptionist apologized for the mistake, but such an error is far from acceptable and completely destroyed my trust in the service. Additionally, one item from our order was missing. When I called the reception, they assured me it was being prepared and would be delivered soon, but it never arrived. The kids did not like the fish and chips, which was unusual, forcing me to go out and buy takeaway food later at night. I was so frustrated by this point that I didn't bother calling the reception again for the missing food. Although not a major complaint, I was expecting small packs of toothpaste and a toothbrush in the bathroom, given the hotel's high rating. This was a minor inconvenience as our luggage was split across different levels, making it difficult to find our toiletries in the morning. Overall, my stay at Rydges South Gate was a terrible experience. I would strongly advise the hotel management to improve their service quality and show greater respect for guests' religious beliefs. Such oversight is unacceptable and can significantly impact the overall guest experience.

We had a delightful one-night stay. Upon our arrival at midday, we were pleased to find that the room was prepared ahead of schedule. The adherence to meticulous cleaning standards was particularly commendable. The entire staff exhibited a high level of friendliness, and their willingness to assist was evident. The location is conveniently situated near major attractions, yet we experienced minimal disturbances from noise during our rest. We look forward to returning for another stay and express our gratitude.
