Had dinner in the bistro on a Saturday night. The menu was great. Salt n pepper squid was so tender and fresh. Cooked to perfection. The chicken stir-fry was very tasty and the chicken was to die for. We were happy with every selection.

29.1.24 We (2) had a catch up over a few schooners & lunch. $6 schooners. Enjoyed the fish n chips and steak sandwich. I don't know what they sprinkle on their chips but we'll definitely be back. It was a very humid day out & we were in the sportsman bar, half in half out of the air con. It was pretty comfortable.

Was attending a Private function in a room but entered via the Gaming area/Bistro - pretty quiet for a Saturday night! Function had 1 staff member on bar - was quicker to go into main area. Bar staff did seem to have differing skills. Fair drink prices, good options. I didn't eat. Seems the typical Tav atmosphere though. Security lady was kind & patient with our tipsy selves at the end of the night navigating our way out. Wouldn't not go there again.

Staff think they are not there for customer service. In particular staff member Debbie who is rude and obnoxious. Eg I asked if the loud speaker music, in the gaming room, could be decreased. Male staff member obliged and the atmosphere was improved. Then Debbie walks in and increases volume to the previous level. This is not the only time I have personally received unsatisfactory customer service from Debbie. Again I feel she needs additional training in customer service. Though as she was been employed in the SAME position for several years, I have reasonable expectations that this staff members behaviour and her level of customer service would ever improve. To such an extent I am always surprised that she has continued her employment.
