Check in was easy, staff very friendly. The website advertises sound proof windows and block out curtains. Forget sound proof windows, as they definitely are not. They barely lock. The curtains do block out the light, but only when the actually are long enough to cover all of the windows. The hotel looks tired and knocked around. Even one of the staff mentioned it's due for a refurbishment. But the bed is comfortable, there is plentyof hot water and the body wash smells amazing. And it's in a great location for the hospitals and the convention centre.

Room was clean but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. We were in a king size bed which was actually 2 single Beds put together. Both single beds were different mattresses types and different heights. We were not able To sleep as a couple Due to this. There was only one teaspoon in the drawers and no water jug or water bottles In the rooms. Locations was good although parking not clear. Parked at convention centre as eventually told.

We stayed at the Mantra on a Monday night. On arrival, our room was not configured for our booking and had to be corrected by housekeeping (this was done quickly and with no fuss). Later, we found that our shower body wash was empty and requested at reception for this to be filled before we returned from our dinner outing. This wasn't done. The room smelled musty and we had to open the window to let fresh air in and noticed the latches for the window weren't functioning properly. The hotel was very noisy (partly due to roadworks in Grey St and partly due to what I only can assume is a lack of glazing on the windows). On checkout, the staff barely spoke a word and didn't even wish us good morning. Overall, do not recommend paying almost $400 per night + $50 to park your car for a hotel that can't even do the basics well. For that price, stay across the street at Rydges and get way more for your money.

Team members were so lovely and friendly. I apologise for forgetting the girls names. Welcome gift made us feel even more special. Room was huge, clean and comfy. I loved the iced tea in the lobby, just what we needed arriving in out of the heat. One night was not enough, we will be back soon. Parking directions could have been clearer online

For the price I was paying, I was expecting the facilities to be very comfortable and modern. Instead, the room was out of date and dark. The curtains falling of the rails, poor water pressure in the shower. One of the towels we were given had a huge hole in it. Sure, there were no major issues - the location is good, we slept fine, but I don't think it's worth the money.
