Reviews for Oaks Oasis Resort

Had a lovely time staying at Oaks with my family, on what was my first trip to Caloundra. In terms of the positives, there were many! The location is superb, with close proximity to shops and essential services. The resort feels like a tropical paradise, with great scenery, pool and water park. Buffet breakfast was also included, which was a great addition. The staff in both reception and the restaurant/bar were friendly and helpful. However, I do have some constructive feedback I'd like to pass on, mainly regarding our room, Villa 26. Whilst the room was decent overall (the beds were very comfortable), there were a few issues I'd like to pass on to the maintenance team. The touch panel for the kitchen lights near the hotplates were faulty, with the plastic cover sticking out. The lock on the bedroom door (with the 2 single beds) was broken, and the front entrance door was hard to open and shut, because it got quite stuck. A fresh coat of paint would be good too, as there were some marks across the walls in the room. Overall, however, this was a great place to stay at, with many great things going for it! With a fresh coat of paint to the rooms and fixing of the aforementioned issues, Oasis is hard to beat.

Awesome place to stay. Our daughter was so happy in the water park. The food was great at the restaurant. They do happy hour at the bar. Other guests were really friendly as were staff. Special shout out to Chloe at the front desk who was extremely helpful when we wanted to make a change to our booking. This gave us good vibes from the moment we arrived.

Great place for a getaway with the kids. The waterpark was a massive hit, unsurprisingly, and they really enjoyed the bouncy pillow too. Rooms are nice and spacious with everything you could think of needing and nice, big, soft beds too. Good location for getting around Caloundra easily and close to shops if necessary

Mixed review. The resort side of things was exactly what we needed with two young kids. Swimming pool which is warm and a hot spa. Playground & mini golf which is open certain hours of the day as well as the water park. Both were a huge hit with kids. Buffet breakfast was tops. One of the top 5 buffet breakies I've had. Very enjoyable and a good start to the day. Didn't need to leave the resort at all for a couple of nights stay over. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the accommodation -Villa 9. $750 a night for a 3 bed villa was steep for what we got (see photos). Original bathrooms 80s or 90s look, Bath tub was a good size for two kids (4 and 2) but not for adults. Only 1 very outdated A/C unit upstairs the other 2 rooms don't have fans or A/C. The kids closed the door of their bedroom (the room had bunk beds for kids) the door handle and locking system were faulty and was then unable to be opened- locked itself. We spent about half an hour trying to get them out. I ended up having to remove the locking assembly as they shut the door again later that night once we managed to wiggle it free. So I was doing that at some obscure hour of the night. ALSO, NO WI-FI was available to us. Which means unable to stream any shows for the kids on the TV as it was fed with aerial connection only. Not what you expect for $750 a night. Also to note the water park is $5 per child on top of the $1600 spent there for two nights. Bit of a joke i think. When we checked out, reception told us they are sorry to hear about the door and the wi-fi we were supposed to be provided with a modem to plug in when we checked-in. No attempt at making up for anything other then mentioning next time we are to stay, they will have it sorted. Ha. That's a good help as I don't think we will be rushing back over there anytime soon.

Lovely family friendly resort with a variety of facilities for kids, with pools, water park, putt putt and jumping pillow. The rooms are nicely laid out but could do with some handyman work, variety of small things like chipped tiles and broken or wonky door handles and paint missing on the walls. The main bedroom didn’t have any aircon or ceiling fan which made it super hot, where the second room had no blinds so was super bright early hours of the morning and late into the night having the buildings outdoor lights on. Buffet breakfast on site is good with the standard expected inclusions of hot and cold food but after 2 mornings of the same thing would have been nice to have a change in variety.
