The refurb is tacky and far too bright for a pub. You’ve taken what was already low in atmosphere and reduced it even further. The sound is harsh and echoing. The lights are so bright we may as well have been in the supermarket. The night we went, the staff on were sullen and unhelpful. Four people walked past me waiting to order food without so much as a glance in my direction. Straws, after having to ask for them, plonked into glasses which splashed. Young female walked out behind bar with can of V in her teeth. Disappointing for a local, hope you take customer feedback seriously. Add: always pleasant to see the chefs butt on the food prep bench 🤦‍♀️

Went to trivia fist time since the revamp, we have been regulars at trivia for over a year.my summary so far 152 got our booking wrong and put it under someone else's name. the bowls of chips when it arrived are slim on chips and no sauce, the food was cold by the time the tom sauce arrived. One of our party sent her meal back the food was undercooked and cold. the music is loud, the trivia presenter has no mic. My feed back to 152 I thought the aim of a pub was to provide great service, good food at reasonable prices and an inviting atmosphere tonight you failed on all 3.

Had dinner here tonight. Was probably the worst meal I’ve had there. Hasselback potato was practically raw. The steak was no where near a wagyu, it was gristly & overcooked and dry. The grilled broccolini had zero grill marks & would be best described as raw. The kofta was extremely salty. My partners meal was salty & bland. The mere hint of tomato on the parmi was certainly lacking. It’s my local, but I’ll never eat here again

Feels less like a pub now, and more like a cross between an older airport lounge and a Wetherspoons for anyone that has been to the UK. They’ve removed most of the high tables and replaced them with low level seating that can only handle a few people, and odd 3/4 height. I went along both in the afternoon and at night on the weekends, and I’d say the vibe has definitely changed. After 11pm it’s like a blue light disco. Not sure if the old staff no longer work there, but they were much friendlier. Disappointing, as it’s close to my house.

So just checked out the new menu. There is one option for a vegetarian main meal - cheese pizza (0 vegan options). There isn’t even a vego salad. Astounding.
