We stayed here because we couldn’t get in to the Big 4. It’s amazing! Absolutely awesome food - best steak ever! Kids play areas are also a big hit. Lovely facilities, cannot fault this place! Clean and large room with biscuits, tea, coffee etc. very happy!

Australia has always had a tradition in pubs for good nourishing, generous servings. With now demands for a level of more sophisticated ingredients and technical chefs to present art on a plate. It's certainly challenging finding a balance. Don't expect ground breaking culinary dishes, but you will, experience well balanced flavours, attention to well prepared ingredients and thoughtful plating, across meat, chicken, fish and pizza dishes. All complimented with attentative but not intrusive staff, willing to make your time enjoyable. Our traditional hotels deserve our support as does the Reef Gateway Hotel. Thank you.

I'm a local, and often visit The Reef with my twin brother and friends. Today, the service from all staff was outstanding, as was the food! My brother and a friend and I ate the pork which was really delicious. I must make special mention of a new and enthusiastic staff member... Sheetal...whose friendliness and professionalism at the bar didn't go unnoticed! 🥂😋🙏

I am still dreaming of the shower and beds!! This place was an absolute find!! The rooms were clean, tidy and oh so comfortable. We arrived late and the kitchen were still able to accommodate us. The staff were so friendly, the food was great and the beer was cold!

We were here for just a night but the venue was great and the rooms were affordable. Great air conditioning considering the humidity and the shower’s water pressure was good. The beds were comfortable with plenty of storage. Only a short 1 minute walk to the main bar and restaurant down an internal ramp. Such a good venue
