We stayed here and also had the chance to try the food, and it was a pretty good experience overall! The rooms were really nice, especially for the price we paid. Everything was super clean, and the bathroom was spotless, which was a huge plus after traveling for 8 hours. It’s always a relief to arrive at a place that feels fresh and well-maintained. The staff were also fantastic – super friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. As for the food, we started with the bruschetta, which was fresh and flavorful! The balance of tomato, onion, cheese, and olive oil was spot on, and it was a perfect starter to enjoy. I ordered the chicken Kiev, and while it had potential, I’d probably give it a 3/5. Unfortunately, it was a bit tough and dry, which made it harder to enjoy. It didn’t quite hit the mark for me. On the other hand, the chicken parmigiana was juicy and delicious – definitely a highlight of the meal! It was cooked just right, with tender chicken and a nice, crispy coating. Overall, it was a decent experience

What a gem of a place for our over night stay in Mackay . Was greeted by friendly smiling helpful staff. Our room is basic but very tidy n clean. Was pleased to see a toaster, microwave, crockery n cutlery. Plus tea coffee etc. Shower clean and hot water. Beds comfy. Food in the pub was yum. Will definitely stay again.

We came here for Sunday lunch, and were pleasantly surprised. The food and service was excellent. Wife was really happy when her favourite song was played. What more can we say except giving a 5/5,

Loving the new upgrades.. that is extremely disappointed in the so-called kids area there’s one couch one TV that works three TVs that do not work and about a handful of random random toys.. good try guys but you need to do some thinking for the kids room colouring in drawing . Blocks for building things you know typical kids things I love the fact that there is a big glass window so you can see your children playing and having fun but it doesn’t seem to be any playing or having fun in that room. The food is absolutely delicious here. I cannot say one bad thing about the food.

We had a family reunion there last weekend and it was an ideal location for everyone, the food was terrific, the staff very friendly and worked really hard to make our time great. We had our sit down meal in the closed room function space and then we all moved out to the open air, which after such a lovely meal and being so well looked after by the staff, the fresh air was a nice change. Our event was managed very well as there were many staff on that day and night. I strongly recommend it for large groups as we had a fabulous time and was well looked after, maybe even spoilt !!
