Had a great visit to The Herdsman Lake Tavern. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it an easy place to settle in and enjoy a good meal.Kids are welcomed and accommodated for with a kids menu and indoor play area.The spot for a family gathering where both adults and kids can relax and enjoy their day/ night. The standout of any good tavern is their steak sandwich and here it is simple and good. The steak was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and full of flavour—served on fresh toasted sourdough style bread with simple well balanced toppings that complemented the meat without overpowering it. It’s the kind of sandwich that’s hearty, satisfying, and exactly what you hope for when you order a classic pub favourite. Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe of the tavern makes it a great spot whether you're stopping in for a casual lunch or a relaxed catch-up with friends. If you're in the area and craving a proper steak sandwich, this one is well worth trying. Highly recommended. 👍🥩🍞

Been coming here for a while now, and this time had live music (which was super cool) and a very nice way to spend a Saturday, very enjoyable. We had the true blue herdy special, a bit pricy but boy it tasted so good. The manager on duty Kylie made my experience even better with her super upbeat vibe and good banter Will be back for some more live music and some great service from Kylie

We've been coming to the herdsman for every month anniversary, it's been 7 months and the first time we've come to the herdsman as an engaged couple. Daughter always comes along and loves making friends on the play ground. Food is wonderful 😊 see you next month ☺️

This is a pub close to our home and we thoroughly enjoy the food, atmosphere and service here. The steak is always cooked as we desire it and the sticky date is a must! Probably the best sticky day in Perth.

Wonderful Fathers Day spent here today! We were all pleasantly surprised at what a nice spacious venu it is here. Bistro, Main & Sports bar. Friendly customer service, Big t.v screens for the sport, play area for the kids. Food was top notch! Generous servings at very reasonable prices. Only criticism is the Mash Potato was pretty dry & tasteless unfortunately & Wifi difficulties. Menu had something for everyone & we all had dessert. Great sauce selection at counter too. Good food specials on the Menu & with separate weekdays specials & kids eat free on particular days. We all enjoyed our Fathers day & the dads were given a gift each which was a really nice touch. Clean establishment with nice toilets. Will definitely be back! Wendy made us all feel very welcome. Thanks ❤️
