Reviews for Palm Beach Hotel

I took my wife and family there for my wife’s birthday on Sunday. We had a party of 10. The food was amazing and very price friendly. Portion sizes over and above average. The staff were courteous and very polite. As a Palm Beach local many years I would encourage you to dine there before the overpriced Surf Clubs that don’t give you any where near the service and pricing.

Great atmosphere and the loveliest staff. They will always find a way to make your day that much more spectacular and put a smile on your face. I will always recommend coming here for either a full blown sit down dinner and drinks, or even just a quick catch up with mates. That food is great, so are the drinks. You will never not have a good time at the palm beach hotel 🩷

I’m a Palmy local who has been coming to the Palm beach Hotel for many years. Over the time it has been very hit and miss. I have to say recently they have been so happy that the service is great and food is awesome too. So nice to have a local where it is a great experience!

It's my fault for not reading the fine print but I booked a room for two people and it was very small with bunk beds and a shared bathroom. I showed up in the early afternoon and just walked away, not where I wanted to spend my last night in town here. None of the photos on the booking site accurately show and what I was booking and it's not a great location unless you just plan to hang out in the depressing casino downstairs. They wouldn't cut me any slack with the refund which I understand, that's how it works, but I don't like that place.

Kicked out before dinner - disappointed to say the least. I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was so unpleasant that I felt it needed to be shared. My boyfriend and I decided to try Palm Beach Hotel for dinner after I walked by earlier in the day and thought the place looked nice. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. We ordered two burgers, a beer for him, and a cocktail for me through the QR code on the table. Shortly after, a waitress (brown hair, mid-30s to 40s) brought my boyfriend’s beer and asked to see our IDs. Fair enough—I’d forgotten mine, which was my mistake. However, I offered to show her a photo of my passport instead. She radioed the bar to ask if that was acceptable, and they said no. I completely understood and told her I’d just have some water instead. At this point, I thought we’d resolved the issue. Instead, she told me I had to leave. I was stunned—we’d already ordered and paid $82 for dinner. I calmly explained that we were waiting for our food, but she was adamant: “You can’t stay. You need to leave.” What made this worse wasn’t just her refusal—it was her attitude. Her tone was sharp and condescending, as though I’d personally offended her by forgetting my ID. When I asked her to speak to me respectfully, she snapped, “You should learn to carry your ID.” Sure, she had a point, but there’s a way to enforce policy without being outright rude. Her demeanor crossed the line from firm to downright unpleasant. We were offered a refund, but even that process was handled poorly. She initially tried to refund the wrong order, and we waited an additional 10 minutes while she sorted it out. By the time we got our money back, we were frustrated, hungry, and frankly over the whole experience. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I know firsthand how important it is to enforce policies professionally while still treating customers with basic respect. What we experienced was unnecessary, unkind, and just disappointing. In summary, if you’re looking for a place to spend your evening, I wouldn’t recommend Palm Beach Hotel unless you’re prepared for rude staff who seem more interested in making a point than providing a welcoming experience.
