Been staying in the Palm Beach hotel for the last couple nights everyday I’ve been coming down to the bar for lunch and dinner everyday and the other bar staff have been wonderful. Came down today to have a lunch just before the kitchen closed and the lady that served me put through the order just before the bell as such and she was great and then I had another bar staff worker come in by the name of Dakota and try to tell me the kitchen is closed and they wouldn’t be doing it and was actually quite rude. Then tried to insinuate that I have had too much to drink yet I just came from a course and had only ordered the 1 drink with my meal. Usually good service but unfortunately this fella was a dick. Overall great experience, apart from this encounter. The room was comfortable and clean.

It’s a very budget hotel and you can tell. Rooms were very simple, a bit outdated (cracks on the walls or old furniture) and the toilets and showers are shared facilities. However each room has a sink and mirror useful for brushing teeth and hands. Reception staff were excellent and they allowed us free luggage storage which was amazing! Also they have free tea and coffee plus a microwave and water dispenser in the lobby. It saved us so much money not having to go out to buy meals! They also have a coin washer and drier for laundry. We stayed in a king bed room as we were a couple but we know they offer shared bunk beds etc so perfect for solo travellers. Location was good but a bit far from the main gold coast. 1 hr from surfers paradise via public transport. However there was palm beach just 5 mins walk away which was equally as good as surfers paradise but without the people. Also Cole’s down the road and many shops and restaurants to choose from. Good choice for budget travellers specially if you are planning on being out most of the day, would recommend

I felt exhausted and just wanted a nice quiet lunch but the music going though speakers was quite loud so I asked the bar staff if there was a quieter place to sit but she said no. She was very nice and explained that the music was on as quiet as it goes. Even outside was loud, there was no getting away from it. I ordered a med. well steak but got a very well cooked one. Lucky I ordered mushroom gravy to moisten it. The staff are nice but don't go there for peace and quiet. I understand why there were few people there. There just needs to be a few speakers turned off in at least one corner of the lounge.

I took my wife and family there for my wife’s birthday on Sunday. We had a party of 10. The food was amazing and very price friendly. Portion sizes over and above average. The staff were courteous and very polite. As a Palm Beach local many years I would encourage you to dine there before the overpriced Surf Clubs that don’t give you any where near the service and pricing.

Great atmosphere and the loveliest staff. They will always find a way to make your day that much more spectacular and put a smile on your face. I will always recommend coming here for either a full blown sit down dinner and drinks, or even just a quick catch up with mates. That food is great, so are the drinks. You will never not have a good time at the palm beach hotel 🩷
