I ordered the avocado on toast ($19), poached eggs ($4) and salmon ($7). The meal was alright, if I were to come back I would order something different. It would be interesting to have the meal without the add ons, quite a lot of greens on top. My eggs were perfectly poached. I also got the ‘real banana’ which is shown in the picture below. Looks quite different from the photo online, I could definitely taste the mix of cinnamon, too sweet for my liking but others might enjoy it. We also ordered a kids pancake which is shown below which was alright. The atmosphere is lovely, with a beautiful beachside view, and a nice outdoor seating area. Nice and spacious in the restaurant definitely a nice spot. The service was alright, staff felt a bit uninviting and unfriendly, but there were no issues and they were just doing their job at the end of the day. Overall would probably try a different place but there were no major issues just felt a bit meh.

Me and a group of 4 others attended the sandbar for dinner. The first experience I had was having to repeat my order 3 times to two different staff members because the first one didn’t know how to use the register. That was okay and didn’t faze me too much. However when the meals came out the order was wrong! Not a little bit wrong either. One of the wrong orders was veggies instead of chips on a steak order. The waiter took the plate back to fix the order but by the time it came back the rest of the table finished their food. The vegetables were not cooked properly and were still hard and the steak had obviously been put back on the grill to heat again because the medium steak was brought back well done :( I couldn’t make the table wait for me to have them fix it so I had to eat the well done steak. It was not enjoyable unfortunately. The others in my group had an item “sold out” (chicken) unfortunately and my son’s kids pasta sauce was spicy so he couldn’t eat it. Overall for our first time in surfers paradise our dinner experience at the sandbar was disappointing. Next time we go to surfers we will not attend the sandbar.

Who puts jam with açai? I also got the big breakfast and the eggs were overcooked. Definitely overpriced. The coffee was good but I’m definitely not coming back. There was great music though and very nice sitting by the beach.

Stopped in for a quiet drink. All the staff are so friendly it's sickening. No one is that nice. They must love working there which points towards good management. Right on the beach at surfers. What a spot. Thankyou Connor and Emma

Cute location across the ocean and great food. I particularly liked the red fruit smoothie and the avocado toast! Pro-tips: 1) No-one comes to the table to serve you. You either order at the table or from the counter. 2) You can order from the table (on your phone) BEFORE 11AM. 3) If you show up AT/AFTER 11AM, you have to order from the counter. There will be a 20 min delay as the staff transitions from morning to afternoon menu...
