Great value meals for Seniors. Excellent roast lamb and veggies. Need to update my review after my last visit when our order was forgotten or lost in cyberspace and we waited an hour with nothing happening. we went to the bar for our drinks and were served immediately and the payment went directly to our table order. The table staff member was new and the whole process was a bit stressful for him. I have no issue with that because the poor guy was definitely doing his best. The management need to pay some more attention to both staff training and the supervision of their restaurant. Those things take time but they are essential for running a top establishment. The postscript was that the meals were very nice once they arrived and the service staff apologized profusely for the oversight. We will be back because it is still a nice place to go to. But don't freeze us with the air-conditioning next time.

Went there for a catch-up with good friends before a funeral. Booked for a large group. The seating area was great, spacious comfortable. The food was excellent and served promptly. My only criticism was that they were badly understaffed to begin with. Actually, I couldn't even find someone to pour me a beer in the first 10 mins. However, things did improve as we went along. All in all, a great spot for lunch with friends.

Greatest tavern food we've had in ages. Every detail of these two basic meals (parmi and fish and chips) was done to perfection. Brilliant cooking with fresh salad ingredients, very generous serves and excellent table service.

Restaurant Review We’ve been loyal customers of this restaurant for years and have consistently sung its praises, but after our most recent visit, we are deeply disappointed. Sadly, the experience left much to be desired, both in terms of food quality and atmosphere. The meal itself was a letdown. I ordered the roast lamb, which was nearly inedible—tough, dry, and tasting as though it had been prepared far in advance. The accompanying vegetables were gritty, suggesting inadequate washing or preparation. Unfortunately, the consequences of the meal extended beyond mere dissatisfaction; I suffered severe food poisoning shortly afterward, making me question the hygiene and freshness of the ingredients. The atmosphere of the restaurant was equally troubling. While it’s understandable that new staff need to be trained, the way this was handled was highly unprofessional. Experienced staff openly criticized and humiliated the younger team members in full view of the customers, creating a tense and uncomfortable environment. This visit was not only disappointing but deeply disheartening, especially given our long-standing patronage and previous positive experiences. We sincerely hope the management takes these issues seriously and implements the necessary changes to restore the restaurant’s former quality and professionalism. Until then, we sadly cannot recommend it.

We stopped here for lunch to see what it was like. The food was good, I had the lamb shank and hubby had the beef burger both were good and a peach cobbler for dessert it was good to. The staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't get to busy for lunchtime and Christmas. Will be coming back to try more on the menu. Highly recommend trying it. 😊😊
