Good location, but that is where the positives end! Very expensive, surge pricing at over $500 a night. Hotel is old, and rooms are dated and dirty. We had mould in the bathroom and on the bedroom ceiling. At best a 3 star hotel, will stay elsewhere next time.

I don’t understand why this has a rating of 4.3. This is a wonderful hotel that has welcomed to me many times with clean facilities that always look and smell nice, a great breakfast that is included in the room rate and friendly and welcoming staff. I travel the world and say many hotels around the world and Townsville should feel very lucky to have such a great facility on their doorstep.

I had a great time staying here. The staff went above and beyond with all my requests, the room was fresh and modern, and the location excellent. So great to be right in the middle of Cotters Markets on Sunday morning. I also had the buffet breakfast and it was pretty good for the price. It was full when I arrived though so I would recommend to book if you are thinking about having breakfast there. There are lots of options and the food is constantly topped up.

This has been my "go to" hotel in Townsville for years, however my three stays in Jan/Feb this year have been very disappointing. The pool is closed (middle of summer in Townsville), they don't disclose this when you book. One of the lifts has been out of order for an eternity, it can take up to 10 minutes to get a lift at busy times, the staff don't seem to care about anything much, there is only one free to air TV station on the TV, (Channel 7), and the food in the restaurant is very ordinary, whereas it used to be quite good. I wont be staying here again.

We enjoyed the room, except it was very windy the time we were there and our room seemed to catch the nosie. My hubby found it hard to sleep. The dinning area was great. We had a delicious meal. I am sure the next time we go back it will be much better.
