An incredible place to go. It has fantastic stones, fossils, animals and indigenous artefacts, but it’s free! I’ve learned a lot about the Australia history, nature science, ocean, etc. It’s suitable for both adults and children - they won’t feel boring as the display is attractive. It took me more than two hours to check all areas. Actually, it was a bit rush, so I recommend to plan half day.

Free museum with lots to see spread across 4 floors. Well laid out displays with different sections based on where the animals are from. The gift shop seem to be more targeted towards children rather than adults. No need to book tickets simply turn up

Wow! We visited the National Geographic Photography Awards and then went on to enjoy the museum. What a brilliant treat as visitors to SA and Adelaide. Great for all ages.

Another example of one older and one newer building sympathetically linked together. This ;museum has the usual collection of stuffed animals and skeletons but also some great First Nations and islander displays. There is a fascinating opal used fossil room and the tiniest Egyptian display in a little room. There are a lot of attractions for kids to enjoy and it is a free museum. One of the many attractions to visit on the North Terrace.

An incredibly great collection of indigenous art from South Australia and also a separate floor for pieces from the Pacific region. Free entry and a very nice little cafe! Definitely worth a visit!
