Played Ratho Farms today in the tail end of a Barnbougle golf trip and what an awesome experience! A historically enjoyable course that that is much more than just a novel enjoyment. Greg was an incredible host which turned the Ratho Farm experience into the highlight of the trip! Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

I got married at Ratho and oh my goodness. From start to finish my experience was just magical. I was the bride emailing every week and asking questions never did I feel like I was a pest. The requests I had was always met with such love and kindness. Venue- blank canvas you really could do what you want. The atrium was like a permanent marquee you got the view of the farm with the beautiful tree, festoon lights in the foreground. We got married under a beautiful giant oak tree. It was so whimsical People- the staff were accommodating, fun and relaxed. Honestly it felt like family, our venue coordinator helped me with so many things outside of her role she came to see me the day before the wedding on the day off to just say hi and check on me 🩷 special thanks to Mick , looking after us on the night and day after our guests loved you and we did too!! You are so much fun and so kind. Accommodation- We got so many compliments from our family who stayed saying it was amazing staying onsite, and the rooms was so beautiful and it felt like we were all in a little village. The rooms had everything you needed and were boutique and convict style blended Special thanks to Marelle, such a beautiful wedding venue coordinator who made our day so special and the process so simple and easy from the beginning. I will forever be grateful for you Marelle it wouldn't have been the day it was without you 🩷

Has the potential to be better. There were rodents in the ceiling of our otherwise nice room but this would be very difficult to control with all these old buildings and fields.. The homestead has a lovely historic atmosphere and outlook. The staff were very good with exception of the tall guy, Michael?, who wanted to argue the point a few times. The meals we had were disappointing in that the 'roast dinner' was a smallish, very stripped back affair served with a taster size dessert. The BBQ was OK but the meat patties were very overcooked, snags and salads ok. Given they were cooking for a very large group it would have been tricky but they should be able to handle it. Neither were good value. Good wine selection and trays of nibbles were very good. Others said they enjoyed the breakfast.

Modern, quality fitting with under floor heating in the bathroom. Great little convict cottage, very relaxing atmosphere overlooking a beautiful river. This was a last minute stay for us and we were pleasantly surprised. Will come back

I'm going to be honest, I had heard of Ratho Farm long ago, and I always thought it was always about the golf. I am happy to admit I was very, very wrong. Our comfortable stay in a well thought out room was made even more pleasant by the laid-back country atmosphere. The 'make this place your home' welcome from the staff. Every quarter of the is to be explored, from the grand homestead to the Rustic farm equipment scattered throughout the property. Thank you to the staff for making our stay memorable. Oh, and there is golf if anyone is interested.
