Reviews for Village Cinemas Eastlands

My grandson enjoyed the movie. I was a bit surprised by the $8 charge for a small sugar free coke. It may have been the light, but some of the seating in the cinema we were in looked old and stained. Staff were very friendly.

Friendly service, clean restroom, seats a bit worn but ok. Happily attend again

Great place to catch the latest movie. Friendly efficient staff.

I went there today to see the newest Pokemon movie and what a bloody delight it was. The place was super clean, the chairs were comfortable, I could very clearly see the screen which is a plus (I don't remember being in a cinema with seating so bad, I couldn't see the movie but hey, it's still good). I haven't looked back at older reviews lately but I think some people said the theatre was hot? Fair go to them but it was a normal temperature to me, not hot or cold. Everything went smoothly too, we went in, got some tickets and went in soon after and waited for the movie to start. God, it was good. I really recommend people go to the cinema if they haven't lately, I hadn't been in YEARRSSS and it was so nice to be back in one. They also had a guy come in after the movie with a garbage bag and you could put garbage in there if you had any, there was also a lady standing at the back, presumably to talk to anyone who might've caused trouble during the movie (no-one did though, everyone was quiet and I didn't even know she was there until the end of the movie). All in all, five stars to these people for their excellent work, it's a great cinema. I really enjoyed my time at the movies today and I'll be sure to come back next year if/when they show the Detective Pikachu movie. Edit: OH MY GOSH, I JUST SAW THE DETECTIVE PIKACHU MOVIE!! AND IT WAS ADORABLE!!!!!!!!! I loved it so much. Everything about it was amazing. Please go see it. The cinema itself is still great too. I also noticed that just after you've gone through the first set of doors to the cinema, if you take a right before going through the next set of doors to the main room where you buy tickets, there's a room with a bunch of arcade games and stuff in it! There are machines too that can exchange notes for dollar coins for you to play with so that's cool! Word to the wise, I dunno if I'd recommend the machine that has prizes like phones and iPads and stuff in them, I dont think they push the prizes properly, and the claw machines are claw machines (so don't try for anything that looks heavy) but apart from that, great games! They have a Dance Dance Revolution game and some driving games and those games where you shoot things on a screen with guns. That, coupled with the fact that it's at a cinema would make it a really good place to throw parties! (Provided the people there bring money to play).

A small cinema with limited parking and located opposite to Eastlands shopping centre. Lobby area seems to be clean and tidy compared to some other cinemas.
