The sun was out and these guys had Thursday night $25 steak night and a beer garden, so we thought we'd give it a go. We certainly weren't disappointed! The steak was a little fatty on the ends but besides that it was super tender, cooked well and came with a very generous serving of either chips & salad or veggies & mash and your choice of sauce. We also timed it with their very generous happy hour (5-7pm) which was $10 selected pints, $8 house wines and $12 selected cocktails. The staff were friendly and the venue had a cool vibe, with plenty of different places to sit.

Came here for a dinner with a group of friends. Staff are mostly accommodating and friendly and helped us secure seating in the beer garden for the large group. Tap selection is okay, standout being the ginger beer, but not really to my personal tastes. There seems to be a disconnect between the front and back bars. Asked for a cocktail menu and was told they do all the classics, so tried to order a mojito at the back bar and was told that it wasn't included. Props to the female bartender at the front bar, when we tried to order there they did make us a mojito and delivered it to our table. The ambiance was kinda odd and not really a place to be if you want to just chat. They had a DJ playing trap and Dubstep quite loudly in the beer garden which wasn't really a vibe, but the DJ was having a fun time I suppose. The front bar had a 90s cover band which was more our vibe, but wasn't a place to chat with the band being the key entertainment (too loud for conversations). Overall, the above might not be an issue for most, but personally not really our vibe.

The staff was awesome, super chill and helpful. The food was good, but we waited about an hour even though the interior restaurant seemed fairly empty. (The vet garden was cool and could have been full though creating the delay) We got the wrong order on some items and didn't want to wait for a corrected order, it so we just went with it. We were there to watch live music and I have a suspicion the sound tech didn't quite know what to do-- it seemed like the bands / singers all never really got their sound balanced until their second or third song, so that was unfortunate. I wondered if the guy was just filling in though, and maybe it's better normally?? All in all, cool venue, you can just eat while you watch bands play which is a weird dynamic but cool to try it new artists you don't know if you'll like! Nice drinks, good food.
