Popped in Anzac. Was quiet when we got in but filled up quickly. Riley and Liam were great chat behind the bar. Food was pretty tasty. Cornbread spot on. Even better was running a happy hour on a public holiday.

Tldr: Food here makes me sad and my wallet cry for the money I wasted. Staff amazing though and so were the carrots (if they come out hot) Was excited to visit Le Bon Ton as its been featured and written about being an amazing bbq joint inside a pub. Upon arrival the front is a traditional pub with a restaurant at the back with very friendly and helpful staff. We were seated and the seats are nice. Lighting is intimate but strangely kept changing throughout our dining experience in terms of bright then dark then not so dark so that was a bit jarring. The main star of the menu the BBQ was bad, like really bad and our sides and main dishes mainly came out old. The staff rectified the sides but was getting hungry so didn't bother to complain about the meats. Pork ribs taste old, cold and very tough and dry with no sauce. Felt it had been smoked last week and they were using up their stock. The pulled lamb shoulder taste like what you can get at woolies in those take home pack which was disappointing. Crab and prawn cakes by itself is bland and really needs the sauce to make better which is disappointing as the sweetness of the crab and prawn should be shining through. Fries seasoning at nice but at $10 and the size of a medium maccas fries it's a bit of a ouch. The carrots though were amazing, with normal and baby carrots with a really good rub on them which really help cut's through all the meat. Overall extremely disappointed with the food here and don't strongly a don't recommend especially with the prices you're paying. Don't now if we came on a off day where we were served food cooked a week prior but won't be back sadly. Staff are very friendly and helpful but we came for food and left sad.

The food was pretty good, the serves were really big, no wonder so many Americans weigh the same as an average sized family car. The food took ages to arrive at the table but it was nice. Service was friendly but they seemed very under staffed but they were helpful and very friendly. Definitely worth a try.

Beef brisket and pork ribs were unavailable. Ordered meat platter which replaced brisket with burnt ends but price remained the same. Service was great at the beginning but we were distracted by the amount of times we were asked if we had finished the food. 5 times in total. We gave up at the 6th time and they cleared the table. Felt being rushed. At the end, paid the bill and realized something were wrong. Asked for receipt and we were billed a $110 wine instead of $60 wine we ordered. Le bon ton is always a place I wanted to try. But probably won’t be back anytime soon. The burnt ends were dry too.
