My husband and I recently stayed for two nights at Hotel Frangos. It has been a long time since we have been treated so well by everyone on the staff. They were absolutely lovely to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble. Dining in the restaurant is very convenient. We had two generous breakfast there, as well as two dinners. Pizza night was only $15 and excellent value for delicious pizzas. Steak night was also a great deal and steaks were perfectly cooked. Our room was The Nest, art deco style with a large bath & bathroom. The location was handy to all venues. Do yourself a favor and stay at this hotel. :)

Incredibly disappointed with this venue. Booked for one night and sadly had to cancel due to the severe fire risk for the Macedon Rangers on Boxing Day with a fire currently burning near our property. Contacted the venue four days ahead to explain the situation and asked if we could reschedule/ receive a voucher/credit etc. I was told I may get a refund if my room could be rebooked which was never going to happen as 2 of the same rooms were still available on booking .com for $70 cheaper than I had paid. Really expected more from a regional venue who should completely understand bushfire risks. We will be visiting Daylesford to celebrate my partners birthday , lunch at The Lakehouse (who I could cancel at no cost)as soon as our immediate risk diminishes but will definitely be staying somewhere else and never intend to visit Frangos in the future.

We came here for dinner. Food was fine, but service was very substandard. They made a point of avoiding eye contact. We had to repeatedly go to the bar and ask a waiter to come to our table of 7. They were far more interested in chatting to each other. Customer service training is desperately needed

Great wood fired pizza! Little disappointed about the 10 percent weekend surcharge though. Had a prosciutto pizza, and a coke that came in at $40 with surcharges. I’d expected that the rocket on the pizza wouldn’t be cooked, but thought the prosciutto, cherry tomatoes and cheese to be. Still delicious, and really great service though.

Monday night, $15 for a wood fired pizza is a great deal and as great feed. absolutely delicious. staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. being able to sit and watch the pizzas getting cooked by chef was cool too. our family of 4 had no complaints and we will be back.
