We generally come here for their happy hours (Mon to Fri) between 5 pm to 7 pm, but this time we decided to try their food. We ordered the Chicken Schnitzel, served with garden salad, fresh lemon & chips ($27), and the Vegan Chicken Burger, served with vegan cheese, house-pickled beetroot, greens, cucumber, seeded mustard, tahini, vegan aioli & chips ($28.5). Both came quickly and at the right temperature. The chicken was very juicy and the portion was just right. The chips were nice and chunky. Great service, fast, and friendly. Definitely coming back!

In-Depth Review: Food 4.5/5 *Pasta of the Day - Gnocchi Marinated Beef - was really delightful. Soft Gnocchi, salsa Verde sauce, tender beef slices, ricotta cheese. It was very enjoyable, however, portion size was small compared to every other main menu item. * * * Value 2/5 *At $28, the portion was very small. I ended up having to eat at red rooster after to fill up. Atmosphere 5/5 *Modern casual, pub vibes with greenery strips. Warm and open feel with good natural light and outdoor area Customer Service 5/5 *Pretty good customer service with a non robotic approach, well done. Overall * Would definitely be back for drinks, definitely not the pasta. The sandwiches my colleagues got were massive man sizes, so I would definitely go for those items next time. Avoid pasta if you want to get full.

Cool place for a drink, caught up with friends around 4.30 ish, and vibe was good. Not too noisy and we could actually talk! Coffee Martinis a must!

Food took about 45 minutes to arrive during lunch time on a weekday. Staff were okay but not very apologetic or friendly and took a while to seat us as well. Food was nice and portions were generous.

I was here on the weekend for a work Xmas party - full venue booking. Great service, pretty good atmosphere. Nice range of craft beers available, as well as ciders, non-alcoholic drinks, etc. Good selection of finger food made available for the function, thoroughly recommend. The venue had organised a DJ as well - the volume was a little bit high initially but appropriate after everyone had loosened up a bit. All in all, Hightail is a pretty nice place. Would recommend.
