Lovely hotel. We have had dinner here tonight and we’re greeted by Dean who was very pleasant and friendly. Meals were beautiful. We ordered 3x classic chicken schnitzels and the half rack of ribs which were so soft and tender. Would definitely come back again. Top service, reasonably priced meals, great atmosphere.

We had an incredible Father’s Day at the Doncaster Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service from the entire team, especially the manager Jai, who was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our meal. The food was fantastic, with generous portions that everyone enjoyed. The Seafood Plaater was a particular favourite. The manager’s attention to detail and genuine care for our experience made the day even more special. A heartfelt thank you to the team at Doncaster Hotel, especially the manager Jai, for making our Father’s Day celebration truly memorable. We’ll definitely be returning!

So many staff but so little going on. Management needs to up their game and train the staff to actually do their job. Don’t walk past a table with dirty glasses and plates and ignore it. I watched tables turn over 3 times with glasses and plates not collected. People just sat amongst the dirty plates of previous patrons. My empty glasses and plates sat on the table for 45 minutes before I left. At least 6 wait staff delivered food around me and walked back to the kitchen empty handed. 1 star

The Doncaster hotel is a local family pub style bistro restaurant. It caters for everyone - families, young and old. There are plenty of tables indoors and people seem to order and dine quickly. Large groups can be catered for easily. Meal choices are the common steaks, crumbed chicken schnitzels, fish and chips, pork ribs and pizza options. There are a few non standard items such as seafood paella. The meals are decent though don't expect anything gourmet and fancy. The kids menu includes nuggets and frog in the pond (chocolate frog in jelly). There is an ice cream display freezer that holds a selection of ice cream flavours from Peter's ice cream. Drinks are ordered at the bar. The usual wine, beer and soft drink options are there. There is ample parking at the rear of the building with the car park entrance from Victoria Street.
