I felt facilities such as the gym were excellent. It’s one of the nicest hotel gyms I’ve seen for a while. Some negatives: 1. There were never many staff available at the concierge desk. I felt pressured to get a move on while checking the bill in checkout as others were waiting and getting frustrated but there was only one person in the counter. I wasn’t going to rush as checking the bill is important. 2. While it wasn’t a big deal, there was a sign in the room saying if we wanted to be good for the environment and not have our towels washed, we should leave them hanging up. In the two mornings we were there when our room would be made up for us, we left the towels hanging up and they were still taken away. What’s the point of the sign? 3. I was very disappointed on the Sunday night of our stay that there was only one stream left and there were two of us. Surely your team would’ve known of an increase in numbers due to the Australians F1 GP and had more food on hand. The same thing happened on Monday morning when there was no bacon for breakfast because of the weekend demand. 4. The worst part is the quality of the cleaners in the rooms. When I was packing up my stuff, I found a tooth pick on the floor. We hadn’t used any tooth picks so I’m not sure how long it had been there but it was at least one customer before me. 5. A minor item was that in the bathroom sink, the tap water pressure was fantastic yet the shower wasn’t much chop.

I LOVE staying at this hotel!! It feels like home!! The staff are unbelievably sweet and kind! I’ve never felt treated like a guest, more of a friend due to their warm hospitality!! The rooms are beautiful and clean, and it’s a fantastic location in Melbourne! I heavily recommend a stay here!!

We stayed at Mercure Doncaster at the same time last year as we have Victorian Masters State Athletics Championships at Duncan McKinnon Reserve. Everything about our stay was fabulous. A five minute drive to the track. An amazing pool for a recovery dip Saturday night after such a hot day. An excellent restaurant where we ate Saturday night ( delicious) and had breakfast Sunday morning. A well appointed room with an awesome city view and an amazing sunset. Helpful, friendly staff throughout the hotel.Thank you so much for a lovely stay. We’ll be back!

Wonderful stay yet again. We’ve stayed numerous times and keep returning because of the lovely staff, fantastic location and beautiful views from the rooms. We enjoyed the new menu too. We had a small issue and within minutes the attentive staff had responded and resolved it. We will keep returning to one of our favourite hotels.

The staff was very lovely. They attend to your every need so quickly and efficiently. The facilities such as pool and gym were clean and easy to use. The buffet breakfast had lots of great healthy options. I was very pleased with my stay there and will definitely go back.
