The Atrium at Hyatt Place Melbourne


The Atrium is a north facing, all-weather, light filled space. The retractable roof makes it ideal for indoor or outdoor events and exhibitions. It can be used as a standalone event space accommodating cocktail functions up to 310 guests and banquet dinners up to 200 seated guests. It can also serve as additional room to the main function area if your event is greater than 1,000 guests and you require capacity for up to 1,365 guests. The ideal space for trade shows and exhibitions, The Atrium has been designed to easily bump in and bump out cars, boats and caravans. The space can accommodate 14 x 3m² exhibition booths. Had a relaxing stay at this Hyatt. A smaller property - but all facilities new and comfortable. Great location between our factory and the city and also the airport. Special thanks to Gareth at the Front Desk who was not only friendly and courteous, but thoroughly professional. Food options for a quick snack or a big meal good too. Will definitely stay again.

We booked through Velocity Frequent Flyers, and they misrepresented the room we booked. The Hyatt upgraded us for half the usual fee, which was very kind. Lovely hotel. Lovely staff.

The service I've received in the last week ranged from non-existent to terrible. First no one answered an email enquiry sent a week ago. Today, I called twice and spoke to three different representatives for 1 hour+. During one of those calls I thought my issue was resolved, only to realise at the 45 minute mark they made the booking for the wrong date (despite repeating the day and date needed multiple times). Another representative offered me a booking a week later, even though I had clearly stated I needed a specific date because I'm attending an in person course taking place at Hyatt. I couldn't have been clearer during each call and yet mistakes just continued to happen. It turns out there is nothing available on the night I need it, which is what it is, but 1. There definitely was availability when I first tried to make contact a week ago and 2. Taking an hour today to be told this was absolutely infuriating and a waste of time I could have used to find an alternative.

Jude’s professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor truly stood out. He was always available to assist with any request, no matter how small, and did so with a genuine smile. It’s clear that Jude takes great pride in their work and genuinely cares about the guests. I highly recommend Hyatt Place, and a big part of that is because of the exceptional service from team members like Jude.

Came from interstate to a trade fair nearby, so the perfect place to stay. Well-appointed, quiet & private room. Excellent restaurant attached to the motel too.
