We recently had a lovely family Easter lunch at the Mountain View Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and attentive service throughout our visit. The menu offered a great selection of meal options, and it was nice to see a separate pricing list for seniors. However, the seating could be improved—the chairs were quite hard and uncomfortable. I chose the roast of the day, which came with vegetables and gravy. The flavours were enjoyable, though the roast lamb was unfortunately a little dry. To finish, I ordered a short macchiato, which had a rich and pleasant coffee flavour. That said, it arrived lukewarm, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a mostly enjoyable experience with a few areas for improvement.

Wow what a time I had here! It covered my 3 C’s of consumer excellence. Comprehensive - swift and to the point, order my sizeable Parma and the wait was minimal. Comfortable - the sports bar had a nice vibe to it, with enough atmosphere to make me feel at home Content - left this place in a better mood than when I arrived. The staff were welcoming and warm to my requests of extra gravy because I’m a fiend for it. Couldn’t recommend it anymore.

Have been a patron of this hotel for many years and have always been very happy with everything. Had lunch today with six others. Very disappointed. Seniors menu has less choices. Table service has disappeared. Four of us ordered Roast Lamb.. Meat was so tough we had to ask for a steak knife to cut through it. Our group has been going there for a couple of years but will be choosing another venue for our next lunch.

Yesterday I had a wonderful experience at the Mountain View Hotel. I was part of a large group (55) people who were welcomed, catered for capably, efficiently and with a smile. Individual orders were managed without fuss. Food was served quickly, was attractively presented and delicious. I can't praise the staff highly enough for the way they managed our large group. Well done to all concerned.

Thanks to the team at the Mountain View Hotel! Service is excellent and the food is delicious. The beef brisket with mash and greens were delicious! Shout out to Mary and the chefs for a great experience!
