Hadn't been in years - used to be my local when I lived in the area. Had dinner last night and the food was 10/10, really nice vegetarian options. Had the roasted pumpkin, mash and veggies were absolutely delicious! Very very busy on a Saturday night, but the food and drinks came out very quickly. Like how you have the QR scanner on the table so you can sit and enjoy without having to line up. Will be back soon. :)

Firstly, we were put on a table in the back corner of a room that was only half full. My steak was undercooked, tough and grisly and the chips had a bitter taste of what I think was vinegar, even though it wasn’t mentioned on the menu. Extremely disappointing experience. Was the first time I had been there, and definitely the last. From what I have read on here, this place only responds to 4 and 5 star reviews. I’m interested to see if I get one.

4.5 Stars. What a fantastic place to come to on a warm, sunny day in Melbourne. Sitting by the Maribyrnong River is great! They just need to make sure they are staffed well for the busier days.

5 of us went on Saturday for lunch and we loved it. Food was great. Came out quick and hot. I had the pumpkin salad with chicken. It was big and filling. Schnitzel was huge and delicious. Calamari was yummy. Staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Love the Anglers and so happy you are open again.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We had an absolute blast at Anglers Tavern with the whole family! The recent refurbishment has truly transformed this riverside gem into a top-notch dining spot. The views of the Maribyrnong River are simply stunning, and the revamped space has such a warm, vibrant atmosphere. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the play zones—they spent hours in the outdoor playground, enjoyed the interactive games, and even found time to chill in the cozy reading room. The free kids' entertainment on Sunday afternoons is a great addition. The food was fantastic, with a great range of options that pleased both the adults and the kids. It’s clear that Anglers Tavern is committed to providing a welcoming, fun, and family-friendly experience. We’re already planning our next visit—highly recommend it for a relaxed day out by the river!
