Good atmosphere and they made a mocktail for us which wasn’t on the menu - so good 👌 Edit: I have to add two things.. 1) The pasta was genuinely terrible, really oily and cheesy and terrible flavour combinations- did not balance well. The actually pasta was also overcooked. 2) We asked if what we ordered contained nuts due to allergies and had to leave in a rush because of an allergic reaction to one of the dishes... Sorry to add these last points but everything else was good!

Anglers Tavern is a local icon, situated right on the Maribyrnong River. It is decked out with a large Atrium bar, Bistro Restaurant, Sports Bar and an epic Beer Garden, perfect for group celebrations or a casual dinner. I was excited to hear the venue had been acquired by AVC at the start of 2022. The menu is a bit of a mix of pub favourites, steaks and burgers which you can order at the bar or via your mobile device. We started with a few cocktails (I would recommend the Lychee Martini!) and their Cheesy Garlic Cob Loaf which was soft and crunchy, perfect for sharing. 🍸 The Fisherman’s Catch was excellent value at $80. The Lobster and Prawn Brioche Roll was packed full of seafood but needed a bit more flavour. The Kingfish Crudo was super fresh however it was served on a bed of yoghurt which is unusual to us. Our favourite was the crunchy, Beer Battered Rockling. Perfectly cooked and moist inside. This dish also also came with Skin On Fries and Salt and Pepper Calamari. To say we were full afterwards is an understatement!🦞 If I return I would stick to the classics, maybe opt for the Fish and Chips again or a Chicken Parma. They have Senior Specials and hold weekly events!

Good location. Lots of space. Coffee was served really hot..... chips served only warm on this occasion. Will have to try again. But lots of areas to relax alongside the river. Good nightly deals. Not the most romantic of places but great for family gatherings and chill outs.

I've been coming here for years, and I always enjoyed their outdoor area, especially when it’s a sunny day. I always come here with my family and friends. We love their food. I noticed they have a new menu, which is a great selection. I love the cider on tap! This place is pram and kids friendly and has plenty of parking. It can get hectic, so best to get there early to get parking.

Firstly, there needs to be a stricter dress code enforced. Everyone appears to have dressed for a backyard barbecue. Secondly, prioritize quality over quantity when admitting guests. Thirdly, I've walked in on people using pipes in the toilets—not the plumber's type, mind you. Security should conduct regular bathroom checks to prevent illicit activities. This establishment might as well have been called 'Centrelink'. Its survival for as long as it did is mind-boggling. I've never encountered such a high concentration of sketchy individuals in one place. Speaking on behalf of the community, we are all relieved that it has been permanently closed down.
