Positives. Friendly and helpful staff. Car parking. The view from our window. Negatives. Only one comfy chair in the room there's two if us. Had to get more milk tea and coffee only enough for one. No coffee mugs . Telephone didn't work. Dirty towels on arrival had to get fresh ones. Bed comfortable and clean. Flaking ceiling in bathroom and dirty doors at the bottom also slimy shower floor. Meal in the evening was such a let down with my tiger prawns being shrimps. Apology only. Jan and Maru

The carpet was very dusty! The bed was too soft. The air con could not be changed much. The room stunk. The mirrors were dirty. Had to be clean before being able to put my make up on. The toilet was too close to the shower glass. Bathroom way too small. Not enough car park and the list goes on

Could not have been better! Stayed for 2 nights as a family; motel is located an easy walking distance to Geelong CBD and waterfront, one block away from a little supermarket. Booking the open air parking (no height restriction) was a breeze. Check in friendly; room was a good size (we've paid a lot more for smaller rooms in 5 star motels in Geelong!), accommodation was spotless. All appliances/lights/air conditioning worked flawlessly; plus the windows could be opened, a real bonus. Views of the city and overwatch of the motel carpark below. Bathroom very good. Beds comfortable (from people with chronic back problems). Included breakfast was excellent, especially the hot food and make your own juice; staff were friendly and efficient. Chickened out from trying the motel pool, but it looked good. A week after our departure, I discovered that I'd left some items in a drawer (I know, I know), including some hard-to-replace prescription swimming glasses. One phone call later, both reception staff and housekeeping were on the case and items were promptly posted back to me, a huge relief. Couldn't ask for better service! Forget staying on the waterfront in Geelong, it's overpriced and the service is nowhere near as good as Rydges.

Reviews on this place weren’t great but I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are looking a bit tired but are spacious and bathroom was modern. Bed was fantastic! Service was very good, nice little bar and restaurant downstairs and good location. I would happily stay here again.

The staff here are absolutely lovely—welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. I honestly don’t understand how this hotel is legally advertised as a 4-star property while charging premium rates, as it barely meets a 2-star standard. I’ve stayed in budget motels that were far superior. The entire place is in desperate need of an upgrade. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was the pool, but it turned out to be laughably small—completely inadequate for the number of guests. The room’s furniture was outdated, covered in scratches and stains, making the space feel neglected. As for our “bay view” room, it was a complete scam. The view was barely there, and the window was so dirty, scratched, and stained that we could hardly see through it anyway. Overall, this hotel is an overpriced disappointment. We felt ripped off and have no desire to stay here again.
