What I loved: We stayed in an accessible room and the bedroom was lovely and spacious with plenty of room to manoeuvre. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and had grab bars alongside the toilet, bath, and shower. The bath was low and easy to transfer into, and the shower has a bench attached to the wall. The Building itself is in an excellent location, and was overall very quiet and clean. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, and we had a really nice time. We didn't try much of the food because the hotel is so close to so many wonderful resturants that we mostly ate out, but we did order roomservice once and can confirm it was absolutely delicious. What I didn't love: Unfortunately, while the bathroom doorframe and door were built to code, they were installed in such a way that my 780mm chair couldn't fit through the doorway. This was a real bummer (and caused me unnecessary pain), but I'm ambulatory enough that I could make it work. If your chair is similar in width to mine or wider I would call ahead and double check that it'll fit in the room you're considering. It should be an easy fix and I mentioned it to staff at the time so hopefully they've already addressed this- I'm hoping it was just a one off error. Also, if you're like me and like to bathe at odd hours, I strongly reccomend double checking that there's a plug for the bath before you transfer into the tub at 2am because oh my was I disappointed to have to crawl out and head for the shower instead🤦♀️

The Novotel on Collins is was fantastic for our one night stay - we were taking our young son to AC/DC and decided that instead of driving the 1.5 - 2 hours home, we’d stay in town. Our room was huge (junior suite) the bed was comfy, the sofa bed had been made up for our son, the shower pressure was great (very important!), and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had an internal room for the evening, which meant that our view was inside the atrium of the building. This was actually great because it cut out all of the noise from the busy streets outside. Unfortunately breakfast wasn’t really a tick for us, it was quite bland and tasteless. But - the coffee was amazing! Will definitely stay again!

The hotel itself is great — clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location — but the service from the front desk staff was disappointing. I booked my stay through Booking.com. During check-in, the receptionist told me that the invoice could only be issued at check-out, which is the same process I’ve experienced with all my previous Booking reservations. However, on the morning of 18 November, when I checked out, a different receptionist told me they could not issue an invoice because the booking was made through Booking.com, and that only Booking could provide it. After checking Booking.com today, I was informed that the hotel is responsible for issuing the invoice. I eventually had to call the hotel myself, and only then was I finally able to receive the invoice. It’s clear that the two front desk staff members working on the morning of 18 November need proper training on basic procedures. This experience unfortunately affected an otherwise pleasant stay.

There was an issue with using my free night but the front desk sorted it out and also upgraded me to a junior suite. The location is perfect for everything in Melbourne- very central. Pool and spa and gym sll excellent. The architecture with a central skylight means lots of natural light. Great brekky .

I recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Collins during my Melbourne trip, and it was truly an excellent choice. The location could not be better, right in the heart of the CBD, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Throughout my stay, I felt completely comfortable and everything was seamless. I would like to give a special mention to Salvatore from Concierge, who was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. From explaining how to get to the Melbourne Museum, assisting with my Myki card, to recommending fantastic brunch spots, his service was absolutely outstanding. Hats off to a true Concierge! Also, Udara from the Front Office was very kind and helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. If you value convenience, exceptional service, and a central location, I highly recommend Novotel Melbourne on Collins — the perfect place to stay in Melbourne!
