We were warmly welcomed and assist with the check in by jays. She is friendly and polite making the check in an ease. The room was clean and spacious, the bed were very comfortable. Air con was working well. There’s a kitchen component which was handy as I like fruits. Our room is on the 9 floor and facing very closely to the next building which I felt a little watched. The hotel has a gym and a semi heated indoor pool and sauna which is lovely, you can go anytime without checking the weather. Trams just right below and eateries around, very convenient. On our last day, it was raining and Desmond went beyond and above to shelter us with umbrella to our cab. I had a good deal with the platform I booked with and I think it was value for money for us and we enjoyed ourselves at the hotel. Highly recommend :)

Front desk was friendly and our room had a nice view and the aircon worked well. For the money we paid it was okay. The location is great because you are close to everything and if you wanted to travel anywhere, the tram was just outside. The cleanliness on the other hand leaves much to desire. I read about the lack of vacuuming in many other reviews and now saw it first hand. It starts with the carpet in the entry area. I think they really should consider hiring more cleaners and upgrading their equipment. In our room was hair and cookie crumbs that were there on arrival and departure, even after the room service came one day. We were out for most parts of the day but we both struggle with dust allergy and had issues sleeping and spending a prolonged amount of time in the room. One other positive thing to note is the proper fridge you get unlike in other hotels were it barely works. This hotel is definitely a good budget option but could do a lot better if above points were addressed.

Room including bathroom, gym and other common areas were really run-down, definitely not clean and also not well maintained. Some things could be sorted out with a deep cleaning but overall the whole hotel needs a makeover. Although the staff were very nice, the check-in was easy and the location is really good, I would definitely not book again as you can get something much better for the same money. I booked another hotel after three days and am very happy with it.

Nice hotel in a good location. The rooms are like apartment buildings with a separate bedroom and a kitchen. Very spacious which I liked. Service was also very good. Location was also nice, right next to Chinatown in the central business district of Melbourne. If I ever come back definitely somewhere I’d consider staying again.

The location of the hotel was great, in the cbd and close to the Australian Open. However the entire experience at the hotel was disappointing. We had a view of a building wall, our rooms weren't serviced (bin not taken out, no new towels, beds not made). And the rooms weren't very clean, and really needed to be deep cleaned and redone. Furthermore the lifts were slow and the staff weren't using the service lifts which ultimately slowed the entire process down for guests. Overall, the hotel was just disappointing considering that it has been rated a 4 star hotel.
