A tick in every box for the Hophaus !! Had dinner with mates here last night and it was everything you would expect from a German styled beer house. The food was delicious robust and ample, amazing selection of different beers to try (Australian Dark Ale was my go to for the night) good wine list, value for money, awesome location and the staff are fantastic. Like I said, a tick in every box!! Well done to Venue management, Iām already looking forward to my next visit.

We had great tasting German beers and dinner. My dinner came not cooked the way I ordered it and they took it back and cooked me a new meal. The server was great about it. Everything was perfect the second time around. Nice overlook by the riverfront.

Came here with my three year old daughter after visiting the art center. Just blown away.. they have an amazing view of the Yarra, very friendly staff and super kids friendly approach (great kids menu and staff thoughtfully bought a activity book to keep my daughter busy). For the adults, excellent food and drinks. Coming back for sure!

I recently visited Hophaus Bar in Southbank and had a wonderful experience. The European menu is great, featuring delicious items like Brezel and potato salad (my favourite š), among other tasty dishes. Sitting on the heated balcony, we enjoyed a fantastic view over the promenade and out onto the Yarra River, with a stunning vista of the city and Flinders Street Station. The atmosphere was cosy, making it a perfect spot to relax and take in the sights. I highly recommend Hophause Bar for its great food, beers, beautiful views, and excellent ambience. Five stars all the way! šš

Dropped by on my way up the board walk (well it's Southbank). Not much changed since here 6yrs ago. Nice range of amber ales. A few Germanic a few not. Nice food but not fantastic, cold beer even good on a cool Melbourne evening. Pretty quiet for a Monday, add some spice and people will come. Pints seem odd size for a pint. Compared to š¹š 640ml is $5 and here 500ml is $13 or more. Always thought a pint was 580ml, not 500 but hey.
