Reviews for Mantra Lorne

Great family-friendly stay at Mantra Lorne. During the holidays they even played movies for kids, plus there’s a pool and tennis courts. As an Accor Platinum member, I was impressed – the front desk offered a room upgrade, late check-out and complimentary breakfast. Really appreciated the recognition. Restaurant service was excellent, and special thanks to Ayak for her warm and attentive service. Highly recommend for families and Accor members!

I did not have great experience here to be honest. But I’ll start with the good. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast buffet has a good variety. The list of negatives are longer though. Firstly, when I first inquired about the hotel, it was stated by them that they had designated areas for smoking. But when we got there, we were told that smoking was prohibited within the entire hotel premises. I can respect someone’s decision to have that rule but they need to be honest and upfront about it instead of lying to secure bookings. Secondly, the room was very unhygienic. It had not been properly cleaned and we could visibly see dirty spots on the floors, windows and blinds. The plates they have provided to the room had not been washed either. We had to wash them ourselves before use. There were some rusty metal spots in the showering area which is actually very dangerous. Third and final fact, which is bit of a nitpick, the hotel assured that we would get a “modern tv” with our room. Turns out the TV is actually pretty old and only supports an unreliable method of chrome casting and a DVD player. My first thought was, who even uses DVD anymore? Due to all those reasons it is hard for me to recommend this place to anyone else.

Lovely view of, and proximity to the beach. Renovations in several of the blocks of units including the one I was staying in. However noise was only minimally intrusive and only in business hours. Tap fixtures very tired and frequently splashed by water as hard to turn on partially. Keep sliding doors shut or risk a sulphur crested cockatoo coming inside. Hopefully this unit will be renovated as looming quite tired.

I recently stayed at Hotel Mantra Lorne to celebrate my birthday, and I have to say it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and valued, which truly set the tone for a memorable stay. What stood out the most was their thoughtful gesture of surprising me with a bottle of wine and chocolates on my birthday — such a lovely and personal touch that made the day feel even more special. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained with a warm, inviting atmosphere that blends perfectly with the charming coastal town of Lorne. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, offering stunning views that added to the relaxing vibe. Whether relaxing in the room or exploring the nearby beach and local attractions, everything felt convenient and easy. But what really made this stay exceptional was the genuine friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Every interaction — from check-in to dining and concierge services — was handled with care and a smile. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed, which made the experience feel personalized and attentive. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, beautiful surroundings, and heartfelt service, I highly recommend Hotel Mantra Lorne. It’s the perfect spot for a special occasion or simply a relaxing getaway. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in the area!

We had a wonderful stay at Mantra Lorne. The bed mattress was very comfortable and we slept so well at night. The environment is beautiful – just a short walk down to the beach, and the backyard has a tennis court, big giant chess board, and mini golf which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was quite good, and my daughter especially loved using the pancake machine. However, the building is quite old and there was a bit of a damp smell in the room. Despite this, we still enjoyed our stay. I also want to thank the team for sending back my charger, which I accidentally left in the room, via express post. Really appreciate their great service.
