A nice room which staff allocated after a request when we arrived. Ocean view. 3 nights with one breakfast. Breakfast was very busy don't go at 9am. The location is excellent, close to the town right on the sand. No noise from our room. We have been in mid December for many years. Love Lorne.
The rooms were dated but clean and very spacious. The hall areaa outside the rooms had a feel of a dormitory/prison, not great but served a purpose. The grounds were very good and location absolutely fantastic. I had breakfast one day and got there early - queues were fine and food choices were good. Would happily return if I visited Lorne again.
Room had recently been updated. Amazing! Extremely clean and tidy. Location is fantastic! Walking distance to beach and eateries. Indoor pool and spa excellent. Quality of buffet breakfast and assortment of food great. My only negative relates to children being able to help themselves to the buffet breakfast. They do not use tongues supplied. Management should enforce signage that states all children need to be accompanied by an adult.
Great location to Main Street and the beach. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and the pool is a great option on colder days. The sofa bed in our room was too thin and uncomfortable to sleep on unfortunately so 3 of us crammed into one bed for two nights. The shower head had next to no water output which was very frustrating considering how much we paid for our room but Otherwise we had a great stay and would recommend to others. It’s my understanding that they’re redoing aspects of the hotel, hopefully the showers and sofa beds are replaced.
I stayed a single night in the Heritage rooms for the Gran Fondo event this year. As a member I was offered an upgrade to an apartment despite what would have been a heavily booked out location due to the event, which I declined. Service from the front desk was excellent. I was travelling solo so my bike was perfectly fine in the room but those travelling with more guests would do well to book the apartments instead. Welcome amenities were a treat. Room was clean, showing its age a little and the toilet was quite close to the shower screen which may be an issue for taller guests. My previous stay within the apartment options, the toilet didn't have this issue so I am sure it is unique to the heritage rooms. Parking was thankfully restricted to guests so wasn't an issue during my stay despite the chaos within town. Close walk to 'general' event village and rest of town. Overall a great stay and have already booked for next year.
