Reviews for Pullman Melbourne Albert Park

My recent visit at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm, professional service that set the tone for the entire visit. The front desk team was efficient, friendly, and eager to assist with any questions or special requests. The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and impeccably maintained. My room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with contemporary furnishings and a stunning view of Albert Park Lake. The restaurant and bar areas are also beautifully designed and perfect for both casual dining and professional meetings. The location is ideal—peaceful and scenic, with Albert Park Lake right across the road, yet still close to Melbourne’s city centre and St Kilda. Whether you’re staying for business or leisure, the setting offers the best of both worlds. What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail and the genuine care shown by the staff. Every interaction—from housekeeping to concierge—was delivered with a smile and a commitment to making my stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended for business travellers, couples, or anyone looking to experience Melbourne in style and comfort!

We recently stayed at this hotel and, while it is a little dated, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was a real highlight — delicious, with plenty of variety, and very reasonably priced. The hotel also offers great facilities, including a lovely heated indoor pool. Unfortunately, our experience was let down by an issue with our Accor membership. We were initially told we were entitled to a discount, but the hotel later refused to honour it. When we raised it with the manager, we were told the staff member who checked us in was new and gave us incorrect information — which we felt was a poor excuse and disappointing customer service. Also both restaurants were limited with their drinks menu offering only one type of wine by the glass and then telling us they had run out of both so couldn’t even get a glass of wine with our dinner. Overall, the stay was enjoyable, but the handling of our membership issue left a sour note.

Lobby is nice, reception staff are friendly but a little bit unorganised. They were so polite that they spoke so soft and un clear/inaudible. Elevators are dirty, the rooms are falling into the same category, open the room door and greeted with outdated cupboards and drawers. Couch was stained and smelly. Like it has never seen a steam clean at all. Window ledge and wall skirting was rough and dusty, the tiling in the corners had mould or dust on it. Carpet is stained at the entrance of the room. Heater/air con is old fashioned and didn’t even work or know how to operate it (twist thermostat knob) left me confused, no on/off switch to be found. 4 Sprinkler alarms fitted to the ceilings which are tacky and old prone to set off any minute with the slightest steam coming out of the bathroom, dated and barely working fan. First and last experience here, the pictures on the site were promising but once we entered our room it was a total turn off. This hotel needs to be badly renovated such a shame and let down for people who want to stay here when there’s events on such as Formula 1 across the road. Definitely they need to get on to refurbishing the whole hotel and organise it better. Room service a bit a slow, time specific requested but took an hour for hot beverages to arrive.

Stayed there for work..location, while across the lake, is not ideal as there is nothing else nearby. While reception staff are nice, the hotel needs a lot of TLC. The rooms are old and carpet stained. The lining of the mattress base is coming apart and there are large chips in the wall of the room...and that is the 'better room'. Some colleagues had many more issues, like staff coming into their rooms for 'housekeeping' when housekeeping had already been done! There is no communication between services. There are no free movies and the TVs are not SMART TVs to chrome cast etc, WIFI does not always work, but the menu is nice and reasonably priced.

We had a lovely room on the 6th floor overlooking the lake. The room was spacious and modern. The only complaint was the shower. We had no pressure, and the hot water cut out after a while. The restaurant wasn't open when we were there, but we had a bite to eat at the cafe. The food was nice, but the portions were pretty small. The location was great. Close to trams and easily accessible on foot to the lake.
