I came to this place like last month or something. Amazing staff, Amazing customers. I talked to soo many people and everyone was just so friendly. I sat with these people that do crosswords. They were my favourite. Manager Matt has real class. Kept my drink full and had a great conversation with him.

My friends and I love pause bar, we come often as we work nearby and all the staff are super friendly and make good conversation. The owner matt is very professional and super attentive to any problems you may have.

Had my birthday event here and Pause (+manager Matt and bartender Emma) were so accomodating to me. They let me bring my own lights, cakes and balloons, and event pre-made drinks for my friends and I without us even asking. We had the best night and it all ran so smoothly thanks to the lovely staff and incredible space. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Balaclava to check these guys out :)
