@morrishousemelbourne 📍 Discovered this beautiful rooftop bar at Morris House which is honestly such a great spot for drinks this summer! 😍💘✨ The venue is absolutely stunning!! 🌱 love the decor, spacious venue with plenty of greenery and great drinks, snacks and chill vibes. Extremely popular with the office crowd but definitely worth a visit!

Their deco is awesome, classy, cosy and comfortable. I was unable to access their rooftop as it was closed. Instead, seated on the balcony on the 1st floor. Their food should be great, I didn't order any since I was just having beers. Nice selection of taps too.

ORDERED: 🧀 Grilled haloumi (5): grape salsa, basil, raspberry vinegar ($21.00) 🧆 Mushroom & Truffle arancini (5): with truffle aioli ($19.00) 🍟 Seasoned fries: lemon pepper, aioli ($14.00) 🐄 Beef tartare: raw beef, egg yolk, crouton ($25.00) 🍝 Gnocchi verde: broccolini, spinach, peas, parmesan ($32.00) 🍝 Spanner crab spaghetti: pickled chilli, medley tomatoes, yuzu, verde ($38.00) 🎃 Roast pumpkin: harissa yoghurt, pepitas, pomegranate ($10.00) I paid $70.14 for my portion which included a mocktail. REVIEW: ➖ The food at Morris house was ok. The presentation was really nice, but the quality did not always meet my expectations. For instance: 1. Spanner crab spaghetti was sorely lacking on the crab flavour. 2. Beef tartare tasted a little bit off. There seemed to be some sort of tanginess that came with the dish which wasn't normal. ⭐ However if I had to pick my favourite dish, it would have been the Gnocchi Verde. The pan fried gnocchi gave the pillowy softness some harder texture which was great! 💚 ☺ Service was friendly. Such welcoming, friendly smiles from the gents. Although we booked for a weekend lunch, I think it would've been just as fine to walk in.

We visited Morris House last week, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Drink orders were mixed up couple of times, and to make matters worse, we found a hair in our chicken schnitzel. While they did apologize and refund the schnitzel, they couldn’t replace it as the kitchen was closed. Additionally, they forgot to bring out the platter we had ordered. The staff was polite, but the overall service and food handling left much to be desired. We won’t be returning.

Gorgeous restaurant, with food and service to match. The food is exceptional. Try the Sardine Foccacia Fingers! Our booking was 11:30am (right on opening time and we had to be out by 1pm for a show), so very appreciative to all staff for making it such a wonderful and relaxed time. I’ll definitely be back for a date night and probably organise a group lunch - everyone needs to experience this place!
