As a solo traveler the location of the hotel is great as I always felt safe walking around the surrounding neighbourhood. Always felt safe while staying at the hotel too. Throughout my stay the staff were very welcoming and friendly including on arrival and housekeeping (pleasant and professional). I had a superior room with a view of the park booked and it met all expectations with pillow service and water bottles available. Reason I gave a 4 star and not a 5 was due to the buffet breakfast being a bit overpriced for what was on offer during my experience. I notice a few shared photos of the buffet breakfast on Google reviews of the buffet showing large pastries and a bowl of fresh fruit…I did not see these things being available when experiencing the breakfast. There were less than a handful of pastries but they were very small and didn’t look appetising. Apart from that the service was quick and very friendly. They did have a chef cooking egged to your liking which was great idea. Overall, highly recommend the hotel especially if travelling alone.

Amazing experience. Clean, comfy, well presented place. Prime location & staff were superb. We enjoyed our time there so much that we did not want to leave ! Free upgrade which is unheard of. Definitely loved the valet parking option & the fact that the Vic Market is basically next door. We will be back for a weekend away again very soon :) thank you to your wonderful staff that all work so hard to keep the hotel A1

A great hotel to stay at when visiting Melbourne. Although located away from the centre opposite Flagstaff Gardens, nothing is far away when you use the free tram system. Very good rooms, roomy, comfortable and well equipped. Nice bar and restaurant.

I loved the location!!! I loved it had Trams and the Flagstaff station within walking distance. Queen Victoria market is a short walk away from the hotel, around the corner to be specific. The hotel restaurant HQs has a good choice when it comes to breakfast. The staff are really friendly and very accommodating and when above and beyond during my stay, which was a huge plus. The room I ended up staying in after one night was a free upgrade and it was wonderful because it was big with lots of natural light and with a view of the park. Overall it was a great choice for me as a solo traveller. My room got a dusty a bit too fast. Not sure why, and this was the only drawback and it was visible.

Rooms felt outdated, unclean and dusty. Had to ask for extra cleaning after checking in. The location is good and it’s very easy to get to other parts of the city and beyond. It was reasonably priced for the F1 weekend but would prefer to stay elsewhere next time.
