My instincts always serve me well!!! 😉 A spontaneous decision to stop and have lunch here was a good one! 🙂 My husband, grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We ordered brisket sliders, Bear Brass beef burger and a chicken schnitzel...and they were all hot and DELICIOUS!!! Thank you, we shall certainly return when we are back in Southgate! 🙏

Came here for dinner with some friends because the restaurant we wanted to go to was full. It was really really good. We each had our own meal and we shared some stars. Highly highly recommend the fish pie, it was brilliant. This is a great spot to go, and I look forward to returning to have another fish pie.

OK CASUAL FOOD OUTLET ON SOUTHBANK Bearbrass is a small cafe on the waterfront in southbank serving a range of pub-style food. Semi al fresco as its an open-air venue but has roof sheltering.

We recently dined here and had an awesome experience, initially was apprehensive sitting outside on what was a typical cold winter evening but found the heaters were more than adequate and kept us toasty and warm throughout the evening. The staff were very friendly and checking on us throughout the night. We both enjoyed our meals and recommended BearBrass when in the Southbank precinct.

Went to BeerBrass for an evening drink and coffees. Location is along the Yarra River with indoor and semi outdoor table and seating. Had to wait to be seated and was told there was no room for 5 of us, to which we suggested us squeezing into one table. Apparently it was reserved and we would have to leave in 10 minutes, they never showed up so we stayed longer. Nice view of the river and foot traffic, can see small boats and other city views from the tables which is nice. Can be a bit noisy but that's the location. Ordered some coffees and drinks. Coffees tasted standard, nothing special but definitely drinkable. Art was not bad either. Prices are reasonable, maybe even slightly cheaper than some other places along the river with the same views and seating. Food looked nice though didn't order any this time. If a nice sit down along the river and some people / river / city view is your thing, you'll like it.
