The palace is beautiful esp the outside and the location is superb. It's wonderful to have the view of the zoo and the animals. The silence and the sense of calm is wonderful. The gardens are wonderful as well. The decor inside the hotel does not match the wonderful surroundings though-especially the bathrooms that are decorated in steel vs tiles or some other beautiful material. It makes the room look cheap and out of place. However the biggest let down is food. For such a pricey dinner (2course meal) the food was below average and I did not enjoy the main nor the dessert. The following day we went to Geelong to an Italian restaurant and paid 3 times less and food was superb. I would go back for the ambient but would eat elsewhere.

Room had the perfect amount of space and was super modern and clean. My view of the werribee park was unbeatable!!! The bed was super squishy and comfortable and loved waking up to the beautiful blue sky in the morning. Food options downstairs were great, complimentary breakfast menu was quite comprehensive and the food came out SO quickly - very much appreciated in the morning before work. I also loved how friendly the staff were. Would definitely book again

Lovely place. Werribee zoo is directly opposite and only ads to the beauty of this establishment. Rooms are small but well presented and comfortable enough. Room controlled heating/cooling is great. Absolutely stunning gardens and old buildings with great history.

A very disappointing stay over March long weekend- Road condition to the Mansion is appalling - unsealed ,dusty and poorly maintained. We had four family members accommodated and on check out, two out of the four had incorrect charges Whilst the staff in the main, were helpful, they lacked understanding of booking system and appeared to be poorly trained. The food was ordinary for the price and just did not live up to the standard expected in such a wonderful property Cleanliness was also lacking in most areas - not up to the standard expected for this establishment Overall - extremely disappointing and could not be recommended

Very enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly & the hotel has an excellent feel to it. I highly recommend this spot for a couples weekend away. The spa on site was a highlight & the Joseph’s restaurant had great food.
