I arrived for happy hour just after 4pm. The bar was quiet, and the lady behind the bar was friendly and engaging. I had a Hawkers Stout (non happy hour), and Hawkers "Kilburn" lager. Both were very enjoyable, with a good depth of flavour. It is so refreshing to find a non CUB selection of beer. And to enjoy it in a schmick venue. With great staff. If I were a whisky drinker, I believe I'd be in trouble here, as the selection looks extensive and quality. Same with the cocktails. I'd come here in a heart beat before any of the pubs around Glenferrie. Definitely worth a visit 👍😀🍺

My partner and I have come to the Kilburn for drinks a few times now. The cocktail menu is beautiful, it includes pictures for reference and flavor notes of each drink which I've never seen before, but was so helpful. Drink prices were pretty standard, but delicious, worth a splurge. Molly (Mollie?) Was amazing, they're so approachable and knowledgeable about cocktails and made them SO pretty! Chips are super yummy too.

Food took 1 hour to arrive to our table. After 40 minutes of waiting I went to the bar to check the progress on the dishes. The bartender then explained the kitchen never received the order. Upon telling me this there was no apology for the inconvenience nor was there any compensation for waiting this long. 50 minutes and the food finally arrived, still no compensation or follow up. Guys, do better. The customer service and lack of consideration is appalling! I don’t blame the issue at hand, I blame the lack of consideration and appalling customer service. As someone who works in hospitality I’m left incredibly disappointed.

The place is nice, the staff are great, but the cocktails are weak (can't taste the alcohol). The glasses (eg martini) are also very small, so you pay a decent amount for an espresso martini and you get a tiny cocktail with barely any alcohol. Not good value I'm afraid.

I had my 40th birthday at The Kilburn and it was amazing! The whole process was easy and the communication was fantastic. The space was perfect for what I needed and the staff on the night did an outstanding job.
